Chapter 499

After lunch, Vincent sent Leon back to Cynthion Group.

In the president’s office, Cynthia stood from her chair when Leon stepped inside. “Leon, you came just in time. There’s something important that I need to tell you.”

“What is it?” Leon massaged his temple in confusion, feeling slightly light–headed from all the wine that

Vincent made him drink at lunch earlier.

“My brother just called me, saying that he has leads on where to find wild Panax that has grown for five hundred years,” Cynthia explained with a smile but was cut off before she could finish.

“Seriously? That’s great!” Overjoyed, Leon immediately sobered.

He reached the bottleneck of the Peak Meditation Phase and with a wild Panax that has grown for five hundred years, he could produce the Foundation Pill that could help him work past the bottleneck.

He asked for Harvey’s help earlier to search for the wild Panax he needed and the wait was worth it. Finally finding leads on what they needed, Leon was over the moon.

Cynthia caught onto the scent of alcohol on Leon’s body and scowled. “You sure are enjoying yourself out there while you toss all the work to me. You’re one thick–skinned chairman!

“I’m not having fun. This is called building my social network,” Leon argued, before changing the subject.” Let’s get back to talking about the five–hundred–year–old wild Panax!”

“According to what my brother said, a five–hundred–year–old wild Panax was found in our neighboring city, Seacove City. Three days from now, it’ll be sold at an auction,” Cynthia explained.

Cynthia was interested in Leon and she confessed her attraction in the past. Ceasing the chance of their time alone together, she took care of Leon’s every need, hoping that he would forget about Iris and turn his focus

on her instead.

Leon was not blind to Cynthia’s feelings toward him. Though he was reluctant to accept at first, he was only a man and after working by Cynthia’s side, he slowly got used to her presence.

Cynthia was the second most beautiful woman in Springfield City and her beauty was of a different genre

than Iris and any man would be enticed by her looks.
