The room fell silent for a moment.
Everyone froze and looked at Harry.
Harry let out a helpless sigh, pulled out a wad of cash from his wallet, and waved them off. "Alright, you heard him. Go."
"Samuel, are you serious?" Harry looked utterly betrayed. "You can abstain all you want, but let us have our fun.
"You dragged us out here in the middle of the night, and we can't even have a few women around to drink with. That's just cold, man."
Samuel frowned and curtly replied, "You're too noisy."
Bored out of his mind and itching to provoke Samuel, Harry smirked. "Four grown men drinking together—don't you think that's dull? Sure, you're the best-looking one here, but I'm straight. Staring at you isn't exactly going to make the drinks go down any smoother."
His usual cocky, carefree attitude was nothing new to them.
Liam handed Samuel a cocktail and said, "Try this—it's a new one."
Samuel took the glass and slowly sipped.
It wasn't bad.
For a moment, the room fell into a comfortable silence. Then, Samuel suddenly asked, "How do you know when you truly like someone?"
"Huh?" Sebastian and Liam weren't the only ones caught off guard. Even the nonchalant Harry was stunned.
All three of them turned in unison to stare at Samuel.
Sebastian studied him carefully.
Samuel downed half his drink and calmly denied, "No."
Harry was unconvinced and chuckled. "Is that really the truth, or are you just pretending it is?"
Samuel set his glass down and stood up. "You can leave now." There was a hint of irritation in his voice.
"Ditching your friends for a woman, huh?" Harry scoffed. "You were the one who dragged us out here, and now you're the one rushing home to be with your wife."
Just then, Samuel felt that something was off. His body was suddenly tingling with an unfamiliar sensation.
His deep, dark eyes flashed cold and sharp as he demanded, "What the hell did you put in my drink?"
