The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1754

What do the elite families value the most? Prestige, of course. The convoy isn’t just for show or to throw their weight around; it’s a symbol of power and status. If, one day, these displays vanish, it spells the end for the family.

Nick collected himself and added, “You’ll get used to it.”

Mirabella tapped her fingers on her knee, nodding as she summed it up, “The troubles of having too much.”

Ordinary folks seem to live less confined lives. Nick just chuckled, leaving it at that.

Half an hour later, the car rolled up to the Earl’s estate. While the estate wasn’t small, it was only half the size of the Davis family’s. Since today was a birthday bash, the place was decked out in festive decorations.

The outdoor parking lot was a showcase of world-class luxury cars, a clear sign that the guests were either rich or noble.

As Mirabella and Nick stepped out of the car, the Earl’s butler came up to them with utmost respect.

“Mr. Davis, you’ve arrived.” The butler greeted, casting a curious glance at Mirabella, his eyes lighting up with admiration. There was no doubt she was the belle of the ball, outshining all the debutantes.

Nick gave a slight nod, and the attendant handed the gift to the butler. Noticing the butler’s gaze, Nick didn’t bother introducing his sister’s identity. Instead, he pulled out a uniquely shaped pin from his pocket and pinned it onto Mirabella’s chest right there in front of the butler.

Seeing this, the butler realized that this girl wasn’t just any companion. He quickly stopped his scrutiny and gestured for the siblings to enter. “Right this way, please.”

As Mirabella followed him into the grand hall, she glanced at the crescent-shaped pin on her chest and raised an eyebrow, asking softly, “Family emblem?”

After all, Nick’s collar also sported an embroidery of this pin shape.
