The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1729

Cassie was out cold, so he didn't say anything else. Mirabella checked his pulse again and, once she was sure he was stable, she turned to the nurse beside her. "Could you keep an eye on him, please? Thanks."

The nurse nodded, and Mirabella gave a quick nod back before hurrying out with the blood bag in hand.

When she got back to Jim's room, Dr. Ray had already taken out all the equipment, just like she asked.

"The patient's temperature is creeping up; we need to start the transfusion right away," Dr. Ray said, glancing at the monitors.

Mirabella had already hung the blood bag and was injecting a fusion agent into it with a syringe.

Dr. Ray watched, still not entirely convinced. "Are we sure this is gonna work?"

Sure, universal blood is like gold dust, but the previous tests had shown it didn’t play nice with the patient’s blood.

If this new fusion agent could really fix that mismatch, it’d be the talk of the medical world.

"Maybe," Mirabella said, pausing for a moment before pushing the needle into Jim’s artery.

The blood started to flow slowly into his body.

Dr. Ray, standing nearby, nervously wrung his hands. If the blood didn’t mix well, it could lead to a serious hemolytic reaction, causing kidney failure or even immediate shock.

Jim, being the Davis family heir, was already hanging by a thread; a bad reaction could be the end of him.

But a few minutes passed, and no alarms went off. Instead, the monitors showed his stats were picking up.

Mirabella cut in, "Thanks, but that won’t be necessary."

During her tests, she discovered that Cassie’s blood had some unique element.

She hadn’t dug too deep into it but knew that once Nellie’s fusion agent was added, it blended perfectly with Chester’s blood.

When she tried her blood with the agent, it didn’t work.

So, it looked like only that young boy's blood could do the trick for Chester.

Dr. Ray hesitated, his hand hovering over his phone, "Are you sure? If we run out of blood, all our efforts might be for nothing."
