The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1712

As Jaime stepped into the main hall, he caught the butler’s words, “So, the girl’s not here?” He squinted slightly, clearly not buying it.

The old butler nodded with respect. “Yes, sir. But Miss Mira only stepped out a few minutes ago. You probably passed by Grady’s car just now.”

Jaime thought back to when he was outside, remembering Grady’s car. He hadn’t seen inside clearly, but there was definitely someone in the back seat.

That must have been Keir’s little niece.

Jaime twirled a rosary bead between his fingers. No wonder Grady was so cool about it when Jaime mentioned wanting to meet the girl—he didn’t even flinch.

“Where’s Keir off to?” Jaime switched the subject.

The butler dipped his head slightly and replied calmly, “I’m not sure, sir. If you need something urgent, you might want to call Keir.”

Jaime glanced around the room before sinking into the sofa. “No big deal. I’ve got nothing pressing today.”

He was determined to meet Jim’s niece today, the one everyone was so protective about.

The butler hesitated, about to speak, but Jaime waved him off. “Go on with your chores. I’m fine here.”

With that, Jaime leaned back and closed his eyes, looking every bit the master of the house.

Seeing this, the butler excused himself to the garden and discreetly called Grady.

The call connected quickly. The butler peeked toward the living room and filled Grady in about Jaime hanging around the villa.

Grady’s voice was calm. “If he wants to wait, let him. He’ll leave if no one turns up.”

“But Mr. Davis seems pretty set on waiting for Miss Mira and Keir to return.”

Chapter 1712 2

Aside from his unforgettable presence, Grady’s wealth was equally memorable—a walking fortune, if you will.

Selling just one order to him could keep this little shop afloat for three years, easy.

No wonder his left eye had been twitching all day; it was a sign of good fortune coming his way.

The shopkeeper’s grin stretched so wide it almost reached his ears as he brewed his special Pu'er coffee, reserved for his most esteemed guests.

Chapter 1712 3

“Absolutely!” the shopkeeper replied eagerly, taking the phone. But his smile faltered when he saw the list packed with regular herb names.
