Over here, Mirabella glanced at her phone and sent a quick "Okay."
Nearby, Blaze and the gang were still tossing around ideas about where to go for some sightseeing tomorrow, taking a breather in the conference hall.
Mirabella listened for a while, then tilted her head slightly and chimed in, "You folks aren't too familiar with this area. How about I ask my uncle to set you up with a guide?"
Patrick, remembering the intimidating vibe of Mira's uncle and his crew, quickly waved it off, "Oh, no need to trouble yourselves, we can sort it out on our own!"
Blaze, on the other hand, seemed puzzled and said, "I think having a local guide sounds pretty good."
Patrick nudged Blaze with his foot and coughed, "We shouldn't impose too much..."
Before he could finish, Mirabella interrupted, already tapping away on her phone, "It's no hassle at all. I'll let my uncle know right now."
Patrick watched in disbelief as Mirabella typed away: "!!!"
Soon enough, Mirabella looked up, "All set."
Patrick sighed, "…Thanks, Mira."
"No worries," Mirabella grinned, "Happy to help."
Patrick: "."
Just then, Robert came back from the administrative office of Riverside University. He'd gone to check if they'd figured out who messed with their video earlier that morning, but the professors were all so swamped, they couldn't spare a minute for him.
After the conference wrapped up in the afternoon, the previously closed campus gates swung open. However, each entrance now had two uniformed special officers standing guard.
Mirabella watched from afar, her expression steady. With Grady personally at the school, she wasn't sweating it, knowing he had everything under control.
Before long, they all left the campus together.
Just as they were heading out, Joen, finally catching up with reality, remembered some unfinished business from noon. He checked the time and called his assistant into the office, "Is the conference over?"
The assistant, eyeing Joen warily, answered, "It should be done."
Joen furrowed his brow, "Check if the students from Prestige College have left. If they're still around, ask them to hang tight for a bit."
