The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1562

James noticed the surprised look on Dane's face and said, "Having a girlfriend isn't that unusual, right?"

"For others, it's normal," Dane blurted out. But for this student of his, it seemed quite unusual! He had once wondered if this guy might end up finding a boyfriend instead.

James looked puzzled. "Huh?"

Dane coughed and quickly changed the subject, "So, is your girlfriend from one of those prestigious Riverdale families? Would the professor know her?"

"She's still a student, so you probably wouldn't know her," James paused for a moment. "But interestingly, your marine engineering department has a joint project with her school."

Dane's expression turned curious, "Your girlfriend goes to Prestige College?"

The marine engineering department only had a few joint projects, and since there was only one collaboration with a school, it wasn't hard to guess.

"Yeah," James nodded, raising an eyebrow. "Why, is there a problem?"

"No..." Dane averted his gaze, feeling a bit guilty. What a coincidence.

Fortunately, he hadn't mentioned anything about Hank earlier. If James found out his girlfriend might have been wronged, it might be tough to get him to cooperate again in the future.

"Alright, you should get going. I won't take up more of your time," Dane waved him off, signaling for him to leave.

James gave him a curious look.

Dane pretended not to notice the student's gaze, picked up the blueprints, and continued his study, already contemplating how to address the Hank issue.

Mirabella sat up straight and answered, "Hey, Blaze."

"Mira, are you still at school? I'm inviting you to dinner tonight, and I have something to discuss with you." Blaze had just finished up and was heading to the parking lot.

"Oh, I just left school," Mirabella replied.

"I've been so busy, I forgot to text you in advance," Blaze said, sounding a bit frustrated with himself.

"No worries, I don't have much planned for tonight. Just tell me where to meet, and I'll head over." Mirabella glanced at the man driving next to her and added, "By the way, I'm with a friend right now."

"Bring your friend along!" Blaze, being the single social butterfly he was, didn't mind at all. Mira’s friend was probably a great company too.
