The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1547

Sitting across from J, Hank had been keenly observing his expressions, noticing a slight disengagement and growing increasingly anxious.

The collaboration with DO Group had already been reported up the chain of command, and a failure to come to an agreement would be a significant blow to his reputation.

Clearing his throat, Hank addressed J, "I wonder, Mr. Monks, what are your thoughts on our Artificial Life Database project?"

J, though lost in thought, had been listening to Hank's words. He tilted his head slightly and replied, "I am quite intrigued by the developer behind your database. Is it possible to have a chat with them?"

Hank wasn't surprised by Mr. Monks' request and fortunately had already arranged for Calvin to bring the team over, "Of course, please give me a moment."

After saying this, he signaled his assistant with a glance.

The assistant quickly left the conference room.

The office arranged for Mirabella and her team was not far from the conference room, and soon, the assistant brought three people into the room.

Calvin and Zane walked in front, with Hank's assistant having sternly briefed them on decorum, which added a layer of nervousness to their demeanor.

In contrast, Mirabella, who trailed behind, carried an air of calmness, her expression colder than usual.

"Mr. Smith," Calvin called out in a low voice, his gaze inadvertently sweeping across the other two individuals in the room.

Noticing the iconic pins on their chests, he quickly averted his eyes.

Hank nodded in acknowledgment and turned to introduce them to Mr. Monks, eventually focusing on Mirabella, "This is one of the key members behind the database."

Hank's expression darkened, sharing Calvin's sentiment.

Mirabella, completely unconcerned with others' opinions, casually rested her hand on the table and looked at Mr. Monks with her peach blossom eyes, nonchalantly asking, "You wanted to talk about the database?"

Meeting Mirabella's gaze, Mr. Monks felt an inexplicable pressure despite her being a young woman in her twenties.

"Mirabella, mind your manners when speaking!" Calvin couldn't help but remind her.

Mirabella didn't even glance at him, instead crossing her legs and leaning back lazily, "Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, this database is as good as dog food. There's nothing worth discussing."

Calvin almost blacked out at her words, never imagining Mirabella would disregard the bigger picture and speak so recklessly.
