The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1471

Summer had just entered the airport when she realized she had forgotten to give something to Mandy. After a quick phone call, she headed back to the exit to find Mandy.

As she walked out, she unexpectedly came across a heartwarming scene of her foster parents and Mirabella embracing each other.

Dressed in something other than her usual black, Summer stood still, her eyes fixed on the family of three that seemed so out of place to her. Her grip on her bag tightened unconsciously.

It was indeed ironic. She had never seen the Davis family treat her with such warmth.

To anyone unaware, they might think this family had always known their biological daughter had been switched at birth.

A slight smirk played on Summer’s lips, but she quickly dismissed any thoughts of family affection. She didn’t need it anymore.

Her phone rang. It was Mandy.

“Summer, are you out yet? I just brought the car around to the front,” Mandy said, peering out the car window as she spoke.

Summer, watching the Davis family walk towards the main gate, replied calmly, “Wait a bit, I’m not there yet.”

Mandy, now depending on her daughter, agreed without hesitation, “Okay, I’ll wait.”

“Alright,” Summer hung up.

Inside the car, Mandy put down her phone and, out of boredom, picked up a magazine to read until she heard a knock on the window. She then opened the door and stepped out.

“What was it you had for me?” Mandy asked.

Summer pulled her gaze from the parking lot and hummed in acknowledgment before taking out a card from her bag, “Here, take this card. The PIN is…”

Mandy took the card, hesitated for a moment, then asked, “Is this from them?”

The couple, concerned about how Catherine’s death might affect their daughter, kept engaging Mirabella in conversation to stabilize her mood. Seeing her gradually calm down, they felt slightly relieved.

Mirabella’s phone buzzed. After checking Messenger, she looked up at her parents with a raspy voice, “Mom, Dad, I need to step out for a bit.”

Delilah, instinctively gripping her arm, asked, “Where are you going?”

Mirabella sensed her worry and softly replied, “Just next door. James needs to talk to me about something.”

Hearing it was just James, Delilah slowly let go, “Then be quick.”

Mirabella nodded and stood up to leave.

Her slender figure was a sight that tugged at the heartstrings. Delilah sniffled and leaned against her husband's shoulder, “How could Catherine just leave us? Mira was just saying we should invite her over for Christmas.”
