The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge novel Chapter 2457

Grant received Gregory’s call during the day, but by the time he arrived at Tideview Manor, night had already fallen.

During this time, he had taken care of two matters.

First, he arranged for the best lawyers to secure Clarice’s release as quickly as possible.

Second, he tried to contact Jace. But no matter what, he could not get through. Losing contact like this was unprecedented.

Grant’s expression was dark and gloomy, like an impending storm.

As soon as he stepped inside, Paul approached with a solemn face, bowing slightly. “Young Master Grant, why are you only back now? Chairman Salvador has been waiting for you.”

“I was busy.” Grant paused briefly. Even now, he still managed to smile. “What about Justin? Did he return to Tideview Manor?”

Paul’s expression grew complicated.

“After things became so tense between you and Young Master Justin, I doubt he will want to see you anytime soon. He probably won’t be coming back here.”

“Is that so? That’s rather disappointing.” Grant’s lips curled in an ambiguous smile, his gaze was deep and unfathomable.

“So, he would rather believe appearances and trust the rumors from outsiders, than have faith in the brother who once saved him from despair and gave him a second chance at life.”

For some reason, Paul felt an inexplicable disgust upon hearing these words. But he had no right to comment. Silently, he led Grant into the study where Gregory awaited, then stepped out, shutting the door behind him.

“Grant! How did things end up like this?!”

For the first time, Gregory lost his temper with his eldest son. He flung an iPad onto the desk in front of him.

The screen was filled with scathing criticism.

“Did you really bribe a doctor to give false testimony to frame Justin as an addict? Was it just to strip him of his position as the president?! Do you realize how much damage this has done to his reputation? How much harm this has caused the Salvador Corporation?!

“How could you destroy your own brother just for power?! You weren’t like this before!”

“Dad, please calm down.” Grant lowered his eyes, dismissing the headlines with indifference.

“These are just baseless accusations. You don’t need to take them to heart.”

There was a trace of impatience in Gregory’s tone. “The public outcry is out of control! It’s impossible to contain this situation anymore!”

Gregory took a deep breath, gritting his teeth.

“To give the company, the public, and Justin a proper explanation, you are to be temporarily suspended and I will personally take over as acting president!”

A chilling air swept through the study.

“Dad.” Grant swirled the tea in his cup, watching the leaves float in the water. “Earlier, you asked me how I could betray my own brother for the sake of power. That’s simple. I inherited it from you. After all, I am your son.”

Gregory felt as if he had been struck by lightning. His face turned pale.

“You… What did you just say?”

Grant’s lips curled into a smile. A smile that was dark, eerie—like a demon orchestrating a symphony of the damned.

Grant whispered, “Did you think that you were the only one in this world who knew the truth about how your brother—my uncle—really died?”
