Cameron gritted his teeth, resentment boiling within him.
Although Asher was the company’s CEO, he could only reach such a high position because he was Wyatt’s eldest son.
The way Asher spoke to him was nothing like talking to an elder. Instead, it was more like a superior reprimanding their employee!
Wyatt’s entire family had always been like this—high and mighty. No one ever took Cameron seriously.
How could Cameron suffer such humiliation?
“Forget it, Asher. Your uncle has realized his mistakes.”
Wyatt lowered his head and waved his hand dismissively, obviously wanting to brush this over. “Cameron, I’m fine now. Your visit shows that you still care about me, so I’m glad enough. You can leave first.”
In front of his family, Wyatt showed enough respect for his brother.
“Brother, this time... It was indeed my fault. I was foolish.”
Cameron’s gaze darkened. “But ask yourself, how have I treated you since we were kids? For decades, I’ve endured countless hardships to help you expand KS Group. You were too busy for those harsh projects in remote areas, so it was me who wore a helmet in the wind and rain, paving the path for you step by step.”
Bella gritted her teeth, knowing Cameron was probably brewing another evil scheme by playing the victim.
Wyatt nodded as he frowned. “Yes… I know that it hasn’t been easy for you all these years.”
“I’ve never asked you for anything. I only ask that you forgive me this time as my brother…”
Bella held Justin’s arm and stood with him determinedly, not attempting to hide the sharp mockery in her words. “If you don’t want people to know, don’t do it in the first place. At the end of the day, you were too greedy. You foolishly tried to imitate others to invest and made a mess you couldn’t clean up, so you resorted to underhanded methods. The situation was almost unsalvageable. If it weren’t for my dad, you’d have been taken away by the police. You won’t even have the chance to stand here and spew hateful nonsense!”
“Bella, you…!”
Cameron started but was immediately cut off by Bella. “Since you know your actions were wrong and that it wouldn’t sound good if word got out, why did you do it? You don’t seem to understand the crux of the problem even now.”
Justin stared at Bella in admiration, the sharp light flickering within her eyes silently burning into his heart.
Cameron’s face was red with humiliation, and Bella gave him the last blow.
“Do you think Justin wanted to listen to your dirty deeds? He knows because I told him. There’s no secret between us. Thanks to you, it was the first time I felt ashamed in front of my man.”
