The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge novel Chapter 1463

Ralph yawned and said, “We are on our third case of a young male getting assaulted. I don’t want it to happen again. If anything happens to Arnold, there goes the last good man in the Larson family.”

Arnold concurred.

Asher tensed his jaw in silence.

All the guests were gone, except one man.

Wilma was cleaning up the mess when she found Drew asleep on the balcony.

It was the balcony, so a fall from that height could be fatal, if not risky.

“My goodness! The boy’s mad!”

Wilma sprinted to the kitchen in a fluster to find the couple behind the stove. “Young Madam, your brother Drew is dozing off on the balcony. I don’t have the heart to wake him up in case he rolls over and falls from the balcony.”

Justin looked worried.

On the contrary, Bella stirred the pot and said leisurely, “Relax. He won’t fall. He used to take naps on the roofs, rocks, and trees. Heights won’t stop him from sleeping.”

Justin was lost for words.

The Thompsons were surely strong advocates for their children taking charge of their own lives.

Justin had to wonder if that was because the Thompson family had many children.

Due to Wilma’s persistent urging, Justin and Bella went to the balcony.

“I think I should carry him off the balcony,” Justin suggested to Bella in a soft voice.

With his eyes popped wide open, Justin leaned forward to stop him, but Bella held him back.

“Relax. He’s fine. Go and take a look if you don’t believe me.”

The couple drew close to the railing, and sure enough, Drew was safe and sound, racing through the gate.

There were holes along the railing.

“He’s equipped with spy devices as an operative. He can even get himself safely down from the fifth floor.”

Bella caressed Justin’s tense face to comfort him. “He probably received another task from his organization and had to go right away. He didn’t say goodbye, likely because he felt ashamed about losing to you in a drinking game.”

Justin shook his head in laughter. “Drew sure is youthful.”

Bella wrapped her arms around his waist in chuckles and said, “He has the mind of an elementary school kid. You get it.”
