Justin said, “Bella... I can’t leave you anymore. Not even a minute.”
Bella slowly raised her eyes, which were filled with tears.
Justin quickly wiped her tears, his heart in distress upon seeing her cry.
“So… You’re saying that the first woman you had a crush on is still me?” Bella questioned him further.
Justin cautiously probed, “Do you want to hear the truth?”
“Of course.”
“...No.”
“Justin! You bastard!”
Bella was utterly enraged, raining punches on his chest fiercely. “Why didn’t I see through your true colors earlier? You’re such a playboy! Get lost! Get out of my house and leave Wilma with me!”
Justin let her hit him to the extent that his voice trembled when he spoke, but he still said seriously, “Bella, the person I love most is you; the person I want to marry is you; the person I want to spend my life protecting is you. Because of this, I want to lay my heart bare to you and confess everything about me to you. I don’t want to hide anything.”
Justin took a deep breath and said word by word, “Back then, I was on Kridor’s battlefield, infiltrating a terrorist organization to rescue hostages. There was a girl wearing a white robe and a thick mask who left a deep impression on me.”
Bella was stunned, her heart thumping wildly, as if her blood were boiling.
Even the part of her thumb she lost sense of seemed to tremble slightly.
“Bella, I can’t lie to you. That was the first time I had a crush on someone. Perhaps it was the bridge effect from us being in a dangerous situation, but I don’t want to lie to you…”
Before his words fell, Bella abruptly sealed his thin lips with a passionate kiss. Her soft and sweet mouth made his mind go blank. Only an irresistible desire ate away at his remaining sense of rationality, causing him to be intoxicated and unable to pull away.
After a passionate entanglement, they finally parted as they panted.
“Bella, you…”
Justin was about to speak, but Bella gently pressed his rosy lips with a finger, her eyes shining with a captivating light. “Since that girl saved your life, I’ll forgive you this once. For the rest of our lives, I want your heart to only beat for me.”
Justin let out a sigh of relief, as if he had received amnesty. He stared at her deeply, like there were stars in his eyes. He looked honest and affectionate. “It’s more than that. I’m even willing to die for you gladly.”
