The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 962

Jonah reached up and touched the tip of his nose—his fingers came away stained with blood. He was indeed having a nosebleed.

Caught off guard, he quickly walked into the bathroom, eager to wash it off.

Hailey glanced down, stifling a laugh. He had insisted he didn't feel a thing, yet here he was with a nosebleed.

She couldn't wait to tease him about this for the next year.

After slipping into her nightgown, she got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom door.

Inside, Jonah stood at the sink, splashing cold water on his face.

As she leaned against the doorframe, Hailey smirked and teased, "Mr. Pilsner, what's with the nosebleed? Is the air too dry, or are you just feeling a little hot?"

Jonah could tell she was poking fun at him, but he didn't have much of a comeback.

He could control his words—but not his body. His nosebleed was proof of that.

Hailey couldn't stop laughing. "Damn, Mr. Pilsner, looks like the only thing tough about you is your mouth."

Jonah turned off the tap and approached her, his gaze fixed on her teasing smile. "You really don't know which part of me is the hardest, do you?"

Hailey froze. It took a few moments for the words to register, and slowly, her smile began to slip away.

Jonah stepped even closer, closing the distance between them. "Do you still think this is funny? Do you want me to show you just how hard I can be?"

The tension in the air thickened.

Hailey's long lashes quivered, but she closed the distance between them instead of stepping back. Their bodies were pressed together, separated only by a thin layer of fabric.

A man and a woman, both caught in the electric tension between them.
