The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 955

Just as Jonah was about to head out, Hailey reached out and grabbed his sleeve. "Mr. Pilsner."

He stopped and turned to her. "What's the matter?"

"I have a prenatal checkup tomorrow. Would you like to come with me? Of course, if you're busy, it's fine. I can go alone—"

Before she could finish, Jonah cut in, "I'm free. I'll go with you."

Hailey nodded. "Okay."

She let go of his sleeve before saying, "Goodbye, Mr. Pilsner."

"Get some rest. I'll pick you up for the hospital visit tomorrow."

"Alright."

With that, Jonah turned and walked out.

Hailey rose and moved to the window. Through the glass, she gazed down at the sleek luxury car parked below. Kaia stood by the vehicle, waiting for Jonah.

When he appeared, Kaia's face lit up with a bright smile as she stepped forward. "Mr. Pilsner, come on, get in."

Jonah slid into the front passenger seat, and Kaia took the driver's seat. The car roared to life and sped off.

He was gone.

Hailey gently placed her hand on her belly. Three months along, her once-flat stomach now had a subtle curve.

She lowered her lashes, a smile curling at her lips as she whispered tenderly, "Baby, Daddy's gone for now. Let's rest. We'll see him tomorrow."

The next morning, Jonah personally drove to pick up Hailey. Together, they made their way to the hospital.

After a thorough prenatal checkup, the doctor confirmed that the baby was healthy.

"Ms. Hailey, have you started feeling the baby's movements yet?" the doctor asked.

Movements?

Hailey shook her head. "No, I haven't felt anything yet."

Jonah's worry grew. "Is it normal not to feel the baby move?"

The doctor smiled reassuringly. "It's perfectly fine, Mr. Pilsner. At this stage in the pregnancy, the baby's movements are just beginning. You can place your hand on Ms. Hailey's belly and talk to the baby.
