The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 897

Jonah was in disbelief. Did Aileen just say she would leave him and go with Hailey?

As Jonah washed the dishes, he couldn't help but wonder if he was even really her brother.

He glanced at Aileen and asked, "What if I didn't make a mistake? What if Hailey is the one at fault?"

Aileen retorted, "That's impossible! Hailey is always right!"

Jonah could only sigh. He was starting to realize that Aileen was definitely playing the double standards game.

Aileen added, "Fine, you handle it. Just hurry up and get Hailey to forgive you."

With that, she went back to her room.

Jonah looked at the dishes in his hands, feeling a sense of speechlessness.

Hailey stayed behind to keep Aileen company. While Aileen worked on her research plan, Hailey focused on her own design sketches.

She paused for a moment, listening to the sounds outside. After Jonah finished washing the dishes, he left the house. She assumed he was heading to his company since he had been busy lately.

By the afternoon, a few of Aileen's female classmates arrived. They were all her close friends from the research institute, visiting to check on her.

They all sat in the living room, and Aileen linked arms with Hailey, introducing her, "Let me introduce you to Hailey."

The girls immediately took a liking to Hailey. "Hailey, you're so beautiful!" one of them said.

"We always hear Aileen talk about you, but we didn't expect you to be such a gorgeous lady," another added.

Hailey smiled. "Thank you for the compliment."

Just then, the door opened, and Jonah entered, carrying bags of groceries and daily necessities. He had gone to his company earlier and was now back with some supplies.

The girls' eyes instantly brightened when they saw Jonah. One of them eagerly grabbed Aileen's arm and asked, "Aileen, who's this handsome guy?"

Aileen nodded. "That's right. He's the CEO."

The girls gasped in admiration. "Aileen, your brother is incredible!"

"Of course! Just look at who her brother is. With a sister as amazing as Aileen, it's no surprise her brother is incredible too," another added.

Laughter broke out among the group.

As she watched the vibrant, youthful girls chatting and giggling, Hailey was reminded of her own university days. Back then, she had been just as innocent—until she met Jonah.

Suddenly, a wave of nausea surged up her throat. Her morning sickness was acting up again.

She didn't want anyone to notice anything unusual, so she quickly stood up. "Aileen, I'm going to the bathroom for a moment."

Aileen nodded. "Okay."

Hailey rushed into the bathroom and immediately bent over the sink, vomiting.
