The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 850

As they reached the luxury car, Jonah handed the keys to Jeremy. "You drive."

Jeremy nodded. "Yes, Mr. Pilsner."

Aileen grinned and said, "I'll sit in the front seat. You and Hailey can sit in the back."

She quickly hopped into the front seat, clearly making room for Hailey and Jonah in the back.

Hailey immediately noticed Aileen's intent. Jonah, ever the gentleman, opened the rear door. "Get in."

Hailey climbed into the back seat, and Jonah followed, closing the door behind him.

As the luxury car smoothly sped down the road, Aileen asked, "Jonah, are you going home or to the office?"

Jonah replied, "I'm going to the office. Are you two heading home?"

Aileen glanced at Hailey. "Hailey, are we going home now?"

Hailey felt Jonah's gaze settle on her face and quickly said, "Yes, let's go home."

Just then, Jeremy made a turn. The sudden shift in direction caused Hailey to tilt sideways. Before she could react, Jonah wrapped his arm around her waist, steadying her.

Hailey looked up into his deep, affectionate eyes, and her heart skipped a beat.

The car soon steadied, and Hailey quickly moved back into her seat. The moment their bodies separated, the warmth between them faded slightly.

Jonah broke the silence. "Jeremy, I recall you mentioning that you needed to go to the supermarket."

Jeremy looked confused. "Mr. Pilsner, I think you're mistaken. I—"

Jeremy glanced at Jonah through the rearview mirror, and Jonah subtly signaled him with a look.

Jeremy caught his cue and quickly changed his response. "Oh, I remember now. I was going to buy something at the supermarket. There's one just nearby. I'll park here, Mr. Pilsner. Wait for me."
