The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 837

Aileen rushed to CY Tech as fast as she could. She needed to see her brother immediately.

She arrived at the lobby but was stopped by the receptionist.

The receptionist looked at her. "Hi, who are you here to see?"

Aileen replied, "Hi, I'm here to see Jonah Pilsner."

The receptionist looked Aileen up and down. There were so many women who came to see Jonah today. "Do you have an appointment?"

Aileen shook her head. "No, I don't, but could you please let him know I'm here? My name is Aileen. Jonah is my brother."

"What? You're our CEO's sister?" The receptionist was stunned.

Aileen nodded. "Yes, I'm Jonah's biological sister. He'll definitely want to see me. Please go tell him. I'm in a hurry."

The receptionist laughed. "What's going on today? There are so many scammers. One just came claiming to be our CEO's friend, and now you're saying you're his sister. Should I say I'm his wife next?"

Aileen defended, "I'm not lying. Jonah really is my brother. I'm telling the truth."

The receptionist waved her hand, annoyed. "Alright, alright. No appointment, no meeting. Please leave."

Aileen snapped, "You—!"

Just then, Joanne walked out. "What's going on here?"

The receptionist instantly changed her tone, all warmth and flattery. "Ms. Lilton, what brings you downstairs?"

"Oh, Jonah's still in a meeting. I didn't want to bother him, so I came for a walk. What happened this time?"

The receptionist pointed at Aileen. "Ms. Lilton, another woman is trying to see the CEO."

Joanne looked at Aileen. She didn't recognize her, but she was always on guard with any woman looking for Jonah, regardless. Even though there hadn't been anyone by Jonah's side these past three years, women throwing themselves at him never stopped.
