The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 790

Now, all eyes were on Carly. People pointed and whispered—some mocking, some disgusted, some pitying. She got the full spectrum.

She had ridden the wave of being the Hampton family's heiress straight to the top, and now she had fallen straight off that cliff—the spotlight that had been on her was shattered.

Why did it turn out like this?

Carly was furious and absolutely livid.

Just then, someone said, "Look! Mr. Alvarez is here!"

Adam had arrived.

Carly looked up. The crowd had parted, making way for Adam, his tall and commanding figure slowly stepping into view.

Tonight, Adam wore a tailored black suit. He was sharp and poised, and every step carried a regal air.

Carly stared at him, enchanted. This was the man she truly loved.

Anne leaned in and whispered, "Carly, don't worry. This isn't over. Adam is still our ace in the hole. So what if you couldn't be the Hampton heiress? You can still become the daughter-in-law of the Alvarez family!"

Carly instantly perked up. That was right. She could still marry into the Alvarez family!

Adam walked over. Nigel and Fiona greeted him. "Adam, you're here."

Adam gave a nod, and his gaze landed on Celine. His eyes lit up with awe.

Tonight, Celine was stunning. No one could look away from her.

Hailey teased, "Adam, are you staring at Celine? Your eyes are practically glued to her."

When she sensed the heat in Adam's stare, Celine smiled faintly.

Anne chimed in with a smile, "Mr. Alvarez, perfect timing. The Alvarezes and Hamptons have had an engagement arrangement since you two were kids. Carly is your fiancée. Have you made up your mind since the last time we brought up the wedding?"

Hailey snapped, "You can forget it. Adam would never marry Carly!"

Adam looked up at Celine. "Celine, do you really want me to marry Carly?"

Celine nodded. "Yes, I want you to marry her. Just do it already. You and I are impossible!"

Hailey wanted to object, but then she remembered the Heartstring Venom in Adam's body and fell silent.

This was a dead end. For the sake of Adam's life, he had no other choice but to marry Carly.

Anne pressed again, "Mr. Alvarez, have you decided? Our patience isn't unlimited. If we can't have something, no one else will. We'll destroy it with our own hands."

She wasn't beating around the bush anymore—it was a straight-up threat.

Carly looked at Adam with adoration. "Adam, I really love you. I want to be your wife!"

Adam looked at Celine one last time, then turned his gaze to Carly. He nodded. "Alright, Carly. I'll marry you."
