THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 959

Beatrice's attention, once again, was not on Gordon.

Justice, however, looked at Gordon excitedly. "Gordon, you hit the nail on the head. My relatives back home aren't short on money, but they don't value education. If the kids want to study, they study. If they don't, they drop out, get married, and have kids. So, most of them barely finished elementary school."

Some didn't even manage that.

It was a common sight. There were two kinds of nouveau riche. One type was obsessed with their children's education, pouring money into the best schools and overseas studies, hoping their children would bring honor to the family and shed the 'new money' label. The other type believed education was useless. They had become millionaires without it, surpassing many educated people, and even had highly educated individuals working for them. So, their children didn't need to change their fate through schooling; their main purpose was to produce heirs and quietly inherit the family business.

Justice's distant relatives belonged to the latter category.

"Justice, does that mean you have the highest education level in your entire extended family?" Beatrice asked.

Justice had a master's degree. In The Capital, that was fairly average; you could probably find a delivery driver with a master's. But back home, it was different.

Justice nodded. "For now, yes. But my cousin's son is taking his college entrance exams next year, so hopefully, things will keep getting better."

Gordon sat in his chair, long legs crossed, slowly turning the ring on his index finger. His deep eyes were unreadable.

Just then, a maid brought over a platter of sliced watermelon.
