THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 941

"Are you sure you won't move?" Wilfred narrowed his eyes.

Fortune stared right back at him, not a trace of fear in his eyes. "I'm not moving!"

A dangerous smile played on Wilfred's lips. He took a drag from his cigar and blew the smoke directly into Fortune's face. "Listen, old man, I'm not a patient person. You'd better think carefully before you speak again."

"No need to think," Fortune said, tilting his head up slightly to meet Wilfred's gaze. "Young man, I'll say it again: don't do something you'll regret. Your parents worked hard to raise you and give you an education. It wasn't easy for you to get where you are today. One wrong step leads to another. You still have a chance to turn back. Take it."

Having been a parent himself, Fortune knew just how difficult it was for the older generation to raise a child to be successful.

What Wilfred's doing is basically illegal detention at best, and kidnapping at worst.

He would face the law for it.

It would not only destroy Wilfred's future but also affect his family.

Fortune didn't want to stand by and watch a promising young man walk down the wrong path.

Even now, Fortune was still thinking of giving Wilfred a chance.

When possible, it was better to forgive and let go.

Fortune continued, "If something were to happen to you, the ones who would suffer the most are your parents."

Fortune spoke from the heart.

But to Wilfred, it was all just nonsense.

"Cut the crap, old man! Since you refuse to see reason, don't blame me for what comes next!"

Wilfred snorted coldly, then pressed the still-lit end of his cigar onto the back of Fortune's hand.

A sizzle filled the air.
