But now, not only had Stuart not come to apologize, he had issued a public statement terminating their contract.
What was he trying to do?
Before Jeremiah could process it, his assistant ran in. "Mr. Somerset, it's bad news! The DS Group and The Lowell Group are also terminating their contracts with us!"
Both DS Group and Lowell Group had partnered with Somerset Group purely out of respect for Gonzales Holdings. Now that Gonzales Holdings had made its public declaration, they naturally wanted no part of the continued partnership.
Thump!
Jeremiah collapsed into the executive chair behind him, his face ashen.
"It's a bluff! It must be a bluff from Gonzales Holdings!" Jeremiah tried to reassure himself. "They're doing this to force me to apologize personally, to give them a way to save face."
At that thought, his eyes narrowed.
If that was the case, he would pointedly refuse. He wanted to see just how far Stuart was willing to take this! For someone like Caitlin, he was already doing her a favor by agreeing to marry her. What more could the Gonzales family want? They would definitely come crawling back to him!
At 10:30 PM, a trending topic exploded on Twitter.
