Impossible. It has to be impossible.
But the Richards family erupted in cheers.
Warren hurriedly asked, “Does this mean we can see my mother now?”
“Yes, of course.”
Caitlin nodded. “Please, come with me.”
Everyone followed Caitlin into the sterile room.
Right at that moment, Hannah stirred awake. She looked around in confusion, pressing a trembling hand to her forehead. Her voice was still weak, but her face had lost that deathly pallor; color was already returning to her cheeks.
“What… what happened to me?”
Ann’s face went white as a sheet.
How could this be happening?
She’d been sure she’d walk in to see Hannah’s corpse. Instead, Hannah was awake—alive!
What’s going on? Did that little blonde girl really manage to save her?
No way. She’s far too young—there’s no way she could be that skilled. It must have been dumb luck, or maybe the hospital’s treatment finally worked. Caitlin just happened to be at the right place at the right time.
Otherwise, why wouldn’t Caitlin even want a nurse or assistant with her? Once the doors to the sterile room closed, who could know what she did in there?
