At that moment, you could feel the tension ripple through the classroom. Everyone’s eyes brimmed with anticipation.
Some students whispered to each other that this “Caitlin” was probably a guy.
But still, they couldn’t help but crane their necks, eager to see for themselves.
Moments later, a slender figure stepped through the doorway.
Caitlin wore the same blue-and-white uniform as everyone else, but she was tall and willowy, her skin pale as porcelain. Even in the unflattering, boxy school uniform, she exuded a natural poise and elegance that was impossible to ignore.
A girl.
Caitlin was actually a girl!
Not just any girl—she was breathtaking.
As Caitlin stood on the stage, a stunned hush fell over the room. Faces registered such shock that no one quite knew how to react.
Then, she spoke in a calm, clear voice—
“Hello, everyone. I’m Caitlin Kensington.” With that, she picked up a piece of chalk and wrote her name on the blackboard.
Her handwriting was remarkable.
It wasn’t the neat, blocky script you usually saw, but something looser, bold and expressive, sweeping confidently across the board.
The students stared, feeling instantly outclassed, and even Ms. Belinda, their teacher, was visibly impressed.
No wonder she’d been the dark horse in the transfer student exams.
No wonder the headmaster and the academic dean had come in person to oversee her enrollment.
Just from her penmanship alone, you could tell she’d practiced for years—maybe a decade or more.
Even Ms. Belinda, after teaching and writing on blackboards for over ten years, had never managed to write like that.
It was proof, yet again: when it comes to talent, hard work only gets you so far.
Ms. Belinda’s eyes shone with admiration. “Caitlin, Celeste, you two can take those open seats in the third row, center.”
The seats had been reserved for them in advance, thanks to the Hayes family pulling some strings behind the scenes.
“Thank you, Ms. Belinda.”
After thanking her, the two girls made their way down from the stage.
Only now did the rest of the class snap out of their trance.
“Holy crap, she’s like an angel!”
“I can’t believe someone that gorgeous just joined our class!”
“How does a girl like that even exist in real life?”
“Haha, looks like we’ve got a new class beauty!”
