THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1187

Soon, the car came to a stop at a spot Elsa had scouted earlier. She got out and, over the course of ten painstaking trips, moved the bags of remains from the car to the chosen location.

By now, the sky was completely dark. But Elsa felt no fear. She grabbed the shovel and began to dig.

The ground was soft from a recent rain, making the work easier than it could have been. After about two or three hours, Elsa had dug three pits. She then buried the Forresters and Xander inside them.

It was summer. If she had left the bodies at the house, the stench would have grown unbearable and would have eventually led to their discovery. She couldn't let anyone find out about the Forresters until she had her revenge. So, she had taken the risk of moving all three of them.

She was lucky. The journey had been perilous, but she'd made it. Even her encounter with Tom had ended without him suspecting a thing.

It took another three hours to finish burying them. When she was done, Elsa collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath. "Don't blame me, Xander," she whispered to the freshly turned earth.

"I didn't want to kill you. You all pushed me to this. You went too far!"

Remembering everything the Forresters had done to her, Elsa's hands trembled with rage.

They deserved to die. They all deserved it.

Instead of leaving, she picked up the shovel again and began digging more holes in front of the fresh graves.

"Xander, didn't you always want to arrange a child marriage between our family and Caitlin's three kids? I'm going to bring all three of them here for you. In a way, I'm just fulfilling your wish."

A twisted smile played on her lips. As the moonlight broke through the clouds, it illuminated her face, casting her in an eerie, unsettling glow.

--

Caitlin and Gordon had been extremely busy lately, but they still made time every morning to dress the triplets and help them brush their teeth and wash their faces.
