"She's already 20 this year." Hanson pulled out his phone, showing Jessica a picture of Leah, “Everyone reckons she's the spitting image of you, Jessica."

Looking at the picture, Jessica chuckled, "She does resemble my younger days."

Leopold glanced at the picture, taken aback. After a careful second look, an unspoken depth of emotion quietly swept across his gaze.

He was somewhat impressed by Leah who had been hiding in plain sight for three years.

Leah stared at him, finding his behavior odd today.

Leah's face flushed, "Don't talk nonsense."

Leopold teased, "What if I tell Avery that you're my cousin? Will he be shocked?"

Leah's heart raced, and she clasped her hands together in a pleading gesture, "Leopold, please keep my secret.

If Avery finds out I've been lying, he'll be furious and might never speak to me again."

Leopold smirked, "Go see your dad today, or he might come looking for you and your secret will be out."

“Alright.” Leah pouted.
