Chapter 358 

In the evening, Aurelia had just finished her shower, donning a lavender cotton robe. As she was about to enter her room, Leopold followed after, fresh from his shower. His plaid robe was slightly open at the collar, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of his muscular physique. 

“Darling, it’s not fair to leave your husband alone every night, is it?” 

Aurelia drew in a sharp breath and said, “Don’t forget that we’re on a cooling–off period.” 

“Cooling–off period is canceled. and I want you to be my real wife.” 

With one swift move, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her into the room. 

Her face paled, “Leopold, stop messing around.” 

A devilish grin tugged at the corners of his mouth, “I’m just doing what any normal couple would do.” 

He gently laid her down on the bed, pressing her beneath him. Her light, fresh scent set his hormones surging. 

She tried to push him away, but she was powerless against his strength. 

He took her hand and placed it by the pillow, “You won’t have a second choice. I won’t let you go unless I’m dead, so don’t even think about keeping your chastity for anyone else.” 

She pouted, “I’m not. I’m just not ready yet. Can we wait until our wedding night? Shouldn’t there be some sort of ceremony for this?” 

Leopold drew a deep breath. He would leave no opportunity for her to reject him at their wedding night. 

“Alright, I won’t have sex with you tonight. I’ll just hold you.” Leopold lay beside her, pulling her into his embrace. She was fragrant and soft. Holding her felt wonderful, though it was a bit of a struggle to control himself. 

Surrounded by Leopold’s warm breath and masculine scent, Aurelia’s heartbeat began to quicken. 

As a normal woman, she too had physical needs, but she was not yet ready to fully accept him. 

“I used to not believe in fate, but now I do. If two people are destined to not be together, then God will always find a way to separate them.” 

Leopold turned her body to face him, staring at her intensely, “Are you still thinking about Arnold?” 

“I’m not. I’m talking about us. Maybe one day, we’ll be separated too.” Her voice was barely

Leopold cupped her face in his hands, “Three years ago was my mistake. No matter what happens in the future, I will always be honest with you. You can’t be impulsive.” 

Aurelia lowered her gaze, “If one day, you face the same dilemma as Arnold, you would make the same choice.” 

“I won’t.” His response was swift and firm, but she didn’t believe him. 

“Do you have any other choices?” She asked. 

“I’ll find a way.” He assured her. 

For a woman like Lisa, he had countless ways to deal with her. 

In Aurelia’s eyes, he was just trying to pacify her. Surely, he wouldn’t force Lisa onto an operating table to donate bone marrow. 

Leopold knew that she was still thinking about Arnold. In her heart, Arnold would always come before him. 

Fortunately, he had managed to win her back, and he had plenty of time to win back her heart. 

Perhaps it was because his embrace was so warm that she quickly fell asleep. When she woke up in the morning, he was propped up on one arm, looking at her with a playful expression. She quickly wiped her mouth, relieved that she hadn’t drooled. This was their first time sleeping together. She hoped she hadn’t grind her teeth or talked in her sleep. 

“You awake?” 

He leaned in for a kiss, but she quickly turned her head, “I haven’t brushed my teeth.” 

In front of him, she still wanted to maintain a good image. 

He chuckled, grabbing her chin and turning her face back to his, planting a loving kiss on her lips, “Darling, a couple should be there for each other through thick and thin. You don’t need to worry about such trivial things.”
