The Breaking Point of Love novel Chapter 857

Hannah said, "Ordering pies is easy. Who are they for, Jo? And what flavors would you like?"

Jordyn replied at once. "It's for Mom! As for the flavors..."

She suddenly realised that she didn’t actually know what kind of pies her mother liked.

"So, they're for Mrs. Fleming?" Hannah was delighted to hear that the pies were for Celeste.

"I know what she likes. I'll have someone send over some pictures of the available designs later. You can choose from them."

Jordyn nodded. "Okay. Thank you, Hannah."

Hannah immediately went to make the arrangements.

There were so many designs to choose from that Hannah suggested ordering several different flavors to cater to the preferences of the other members of the Rodriguez family as well.

Jordyn thought that made sense. Besides, she liked every design and wanted to order a box of each.

Hannah hurriedly dissuaded her. "That's far too many. Mrs. Fleming and her family won't be able to eat all of them. Five or six boxes should be enough."

Jordyn fell silent for a moment. "...Alright."

Once she had more or less finished making her selections, she returned the tablet to Hannah and turned to go upstairs. She spotted Trevor standing at the foot of the stairs.

She had no idea how long he had been standing there. When he saw her turn around, he finally spoke. "Ordering pies? None for me?"

Jordyn walked straight past him. "No."

Trevor turned to watch her retreating figure. "Playing favourites, are we?"

Jordyn had already stopped paying him any attention. She went straight upstairs and returned to her room.

…

The next morning, not long after Jordyn got up, a delivery arrived from Celeste. It contained pies and a moon hare figurine.

Trevor happened to be coming downstairs when he saw the gift box in Jordyn's arms. He had barely glanced at it before she carried it upstairs.
