The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 68

"Yes. You will be stronger, but at first it will be confusing. We're gonna have to pause the pla..."

"No. Never. Nope. Nopé." She said wth a fake accent.

I laughed at her silliness. Even when I was upset she could make me happy.

"We have to go through with this. If we don't, more people will get hurt and die. I just can't let it happen. We will do what we have to do to Dom on Friday. No ifs, ands, or buts."

I sighed knowing I'd never get out of this argument. My girl was stubborn, and of course she was right. People were in danger.

"Okay Luna, but I won't hesitate to rip his heart if I have to."

"Luna. Hmm. I think I like that. Especially when you call me that." She smiled.

I pulled her body in closer so I could lean in to kiss her lips.

Her lips were soft and tasted of our marking. Her scent was now mingled with mine. The sweet and fresh scent of flowers and springtime were mixed with a rustic, cold and woodsy smell.

That was our scent.

Our scent had become one.

Our scents have intertwined. I thought into her consciousness.

Her eyes flew open in shock. This caused a huge smile from me.

Woah... I can hear you... in my head!!! She sent back to me.

Yes. We call it mind-link. It comes in handy when we are in wolf form.

Holy shit! She blurted out.

We both laughed together this time.

Will you lay down with me? She asked.

I smirked. I'd do anything to get my girl in bed.

But... I wouldn't rush anything...

Of course. I replied as I scooped her up in my arms and started making my way through her house up to her bedroom.

She giggled in my arms and laid her head against my chest. Her warm breath was tickling my neck in the most tantalizing way.

I finally reached her door and pushed aside the beaded curtain to walk into her room. Never wanting to let her go, I managed to close and lock the door and turn on a light.

No. Leave the lights off. She said in my mind.

Marking her means she's mine. No other wolf will dare to come near her unless they have a death wish.

It was time to get Dom under control. He had to be locked up. And if it came down to it, I'd have to kill him.

"Will I see you tomorrow?" She asked wrenching me from my thoughts.

"I don't think so. I need to prepare the pack for Friday night. I will be waiting for you outside and follow you to the party. I will give you 20 minutes until I bust down the doors and kill him."

"I thought you said 30."

"Changed my mind. I don't trust him enough to let you near him for that long." I told her.

"Fine. I think I'll only need 20 anyways." She said defiantly.

"Alright Luna... now get some sleep." I whispered as I pulled her into my body in a spooning position, resting my face against her hair and wrapping my arms around her tiny little body.

I was welcomed into a deep slumber filled with hazy dreams of blue pools and snow covered trees and icy winds and a warm fire surrounding my body.

But I woke to a distant howl, traveling through the breeze. I lay cold and lonely from his absence trying to shake off my yearning for him.

Well, that would never work. I'd always yearn to be closer to him.

But there was nothing I could do about it now, so I got up and got ready for the day.
