The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 65

"Wait..." She intervened with a quizzical look on her face. "Wouldn't ot make sense for me to try and lure him outside? I mean he's probably going to be all over me and trying to get me to dance or something... so shouldn't I try to atleast get him outside for you?"

Grrrr!!! Ahhh!! "Noooo! Hell to the no!" I roared. "No." I noticed her shocked expression, so I tried to lighten up on the anger. I sighed, "It's bad enough you are going to the party at his house. That puts you in wayyyyy too much danger for my liking. I can't have you try and coerce a murderer outside. You can go to the party and say hi and then keep your distance, he's too dangerous, but if you don't go to the party at all, I think he will get suspicious." I told her.

"I know him Travis. He's going to be all over me and trying go get me alone. Just like he's been trying for weeks. And it really think I can help you and your pack. Since he's going to try and hang out with me, I may as well try to get him outside to Mae the plan go smoother, it's not kike he'll ever suspect me." She said defiantly.

Ugh. This was too much. She should be hidden away and safe from all this danger. I can't risk her being hurt in this mess.

I should just take her to the pack house and have her guarded while the rest of the pack and myself takes care of this.

"My Luna... My mate, should be no where near a murderous beast. I can't risk your life Krystal, it'll kill me if he hurts you." I pleaded with her.

"Travis. I'm not taking no for an answer. This is half my fault. He was with me when he was bitten. If only I had stayed inside, this would have never happened. Those 7 people would have never been murdered! It's the only way I can help. I know it'll work. And plus, you can't stop me! Because I'm going! AND, I'm going to get him outside for you!" She finished her statement with her arms crossed over her chest and a scowl on her pretty little face. Her lips were pursed, and her nose was scrunched up.

I wanted to laugh at how cute she looked, but I was also upset about this whole thing and wanted to make a point.

"If, I really want to, or need to, I CAN stop you. I could, just keep you locked up and safe with me, as the rest of my pack takes care of business." I said with as much power and force I could muster without sounding too scary or Alpha like.

I'm not sure I succeed.

That surprised me. I pulled away so I could look her in the eyes as I explained something of extreme importance. "A Luna is the mate of the Alpha. She is sort of like a mother to the pack. She's loving, sweet, and caring. She tends to the injured or sick, she helps cook the meals, she plays with the pups. She helps the Alpha with pack business, and always brings her side of things to the table. And above all else she protects the ones she loves and fights the ones who try to destroy them. She is fierce, she is passionate, and she is strong. Just like you are. That's why you are my mate." I pulled her back in and leaned in to kiss her freckle cover nose.

She shivered in response to my touch, which made me smile.

"Wow. I feel like I don't deserve all that... So is your mom Luna?" She asked.

"Well, technically she was. Since I am Alpha now my Dad and her have stepped down from their positions, so now we are just waiting for you take take your place, as Luna. And no one deserves it more than you."
