I already knew my wolf, but now I needed to know the man.
"Do you want to turn back into a man?" I asked, mentally cringing, and hoping he'd say yes.
Bark.
"Okay, well, hmm..." I looked around my deck.
I spotted two wool blankets laying on the the back of the couch next to me. I grabed them and draped them over my wolf's shoulders and kept looking around.
I realized we had a firepit that we would put wood in and light fires to keep warm when my family would sit out back when it was cold.
Maybe that'll do it.
I grabbed some logs and threw them in the pit. Then I found the box of old newspapers we kept for lighting. And a pack of matches.
My wolf just sat on my deck quietly watching each move I made. His blue orbs following my every step
I put the newspapers in and lit a match. I set the papers on fire, hoping the logs would soon catch as well.
Within minutes I was sitting on the deck floor next to my wolf in front of the fire.
It started getting really hot, like blazing hot, I almost couldn't stand it. So I took my winter coat off.
I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw my coat over Travis' wolf body as well.
I waited next to him in nothing but my flannel night gown, and thermals.
You know that saying, 'Always wear cute pajamas to bed, you never know who you'll meet in your dreams?'
Well, I'm pretty sure these pajamas aren't cute...
Sadly I'm not even dreaming, and am only wearing this raggidy old flannel nightgown, and this wolf man, is about to turn into a man, and who knows, he may be...
Woahhh....
My wolf was shaking really hard and the air aroud him was rippling and vibrating with with this crazy energy I can't explain.
Then bones started cracking.
I shivered at the sound.
I had only heard that sound once before when I broke my ankle in the woods, and he saved me.
But this, this was unreal.
The sound was horrifying. And it wouldn't stop.
All of a sudden Travis' wolf body was covered completely by the blankets and his form became smaller and hunched over.
What the fú......
This shìt was like something out of a movie.
His dark black hair was messy and toussled, probably from shifting into a human.
His feautures were sharp and defined. His nose fit just right atop his perfectly pouty lips that were shaped like cupids bow. His face was littered in dark stubble, which outlined his razor straight jawline.
He was simply gorgeous. Right out of the movies. Someone like me should not be sitting next to a creature this beautiful; human or wolf.
The fire was still blazing but Travis was shivering.
He wrapped the blankets around his body tighter and I could see his teeth chattering.
"You're still cold." I stated, rather than asking.
"Yes. It's not normal for me to be out here in the winter as a man. Naked none the less, fighting my wolf gene."
"Wait. What? You don't have clothes on?" I asked stupidly. My cheeks turned tomato red just thinking about the naked boy next to me.
"Umm... yes...Did you think I had clothes on underneath my wolf body?" He said with a laugh.
The skin around his eyes and nose crinkled when he laughed, and I thought I may just die right here and now from his killer beauty.
I was completely mortified...
"Ermm...Well now that you mention it, no, that wouldn't make sense... But I honestly hadn't given it much thought. Because I didn't even think this was plossible. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?" I was starting to ramble, and probably sounded crazy.
"Listen, I know you have a lot of questions, but I don't have a lot of time. If I stay out here in the cold I won't be able to fight it much longer. I will turn back to a wolf. It hurts to fight this hard." He said while his shoulders shook violently.
