" Don't go up there if you can't make it back down again" i said to Mary as i met her at the top of the stairs.

She was carrying a large pillow and her favourite snacks. We had just arrived from burger King and now she was eating again. This is pure pregnancy cravings.

" i did it this morning, '' she said, staring down the stairs.

"Well you had energy this morning " Olivia groans as she helps me support Mary down the stairs.

When we finally got her down we put her on the sofa and placed a blanket over her. Both me and Olivia knew that we werent getting much out of her tonight.

" So how come you were going to message Nick earlier?" Liv asked as soon as we were comfortable with out blankets and snacks.

I groaned, " can we not right now" i am really not in the mood to be speaking about this right now.

" dont you know this is an intervention for you" Mary mumbled without even opening her eyes.

I gave her an evil glare. " i can feel your eyes on me" she mumbled cracking at least one eye open.

" i think i may have jumped to conclusions, James said nothing happened" i told them.

Liv kicked my leg " That doesnt mean you go running to him, we've all seen the video he has some explaining to do. Where has that strong girl gone"

" yeah you're a real pussy these days" Mary comments.

I'm against abusing pregnant women but at this rate i might need to break my rules for once.

"I'm not" i objected.

" do i have to remind you what you did whenyou found out Kyle slept with that Jessica " Liv spoke.

Flashback

"I'm a little busy right now rachel, can you bother someone else with you gossip" i said sketching on my artbook. If i wanted to get a good grade i needed to hand this in today.

Rachel slid her hand over and placed her phone down. " you'll thank me later" she whispered.

Rachel was the proud gossiper of our class. She went to all the parties and all the gatherings so she practically had dirt on anyone.

I looked down at the phone and saw a thread of messages.

Jess, look your hot and everything but it was a mistake - kyle

You do know who my girlfriend is, look it was good sex but selene can get me places and dont take this the wrong way but my future looks shit if i go with you - kyle.

I handed rachel back her phone.

Jessica was never someone i liked to have around but the sickest thing about all this is that she is considered as my friend.

I grabbed my things and headed to the food hall.

Wasnt all that surprising to see Jessica sitting on the same table as Kyle. Kyle looked good today in his white hoodie with his hair wet from gym.

Too bad, i wont be fucking him after this.

" woah hey baby" he said as i straddled his lap, not caring about the others on the table. I watched Liv give me a weird look.

" Hey babe, how was gym" i said feeling up his arms.

I watched him swallow his food. " uh yeah its good, coach worked us hard thoough " he said.

" hmm good, you need it, your stamina isnt as good the last few nights" i said running my fingers through his hair.

Brendan practically choked on his drink when i said this.

" shes joking" Kyle turned to his mates who all looked like they were about to die of laughter.

I saw his eyes nervously move to jessica. Hmm, got you.

" that reminds me you should probably get tested " i said finally getting up from his lap. I stood before him in my mini black dress and heeled boots.

" wait what, why is there something wrong" he whispered. Yeah this isnt something you want all your friends hearing.

"No, but if youre gonna fuck Jessica's cheap pussy you might wanna get yourself tests hmm" i said finally letting the cat out of the bag.

" Selene, i " jessica spoke up.

I whipped my head around " shut your fucking mouth" i shouted at her. She sulked back into her chair.

" Now if you hadn't realised it already, we are over. So you can carry on fucking Jessica but just know you aint shit without me, that goes for your career and your pathetic life" i shoved him back focrcing him to fall back.

" wait baby, let's talk about this" he pleaded.

" yo man, thats wrong, selene is fucking fire" i grinned hearing his friends give him hell.

Youre right, i am fucking fire.

" well Kyle actually cheated on me, plus im mature now i was just some bitch back then" i said remembering the exact moment i dumped kyle many years ago.

Mary coughed " oh will you go to sleep already" i groaned staring at Mary who just smiled innocently.

"My baby kicked it was by accident" she defended herself.

Yeah right.

" How do you not know Nick isnt the same. James might just be lying for him" Liv said handing me a glass of rose.

" i doubt it, I'm just going to have to listen to what Nick has to say"

Liv smiled, " I read through the comments, apparently she was one of the dancers and he was acting like a true wingman for his friends"

My mind went back to the video. I dont doubt Nick was doing his job as a wingman. But he didnt have to do me like that.

A call or text to say, give me a warning would be nice.

" That doesnt make it better, I'm also mad he didnt show up to dads birthday" i told her.

" yeah i have nothing to back up why he did that, guys a pure ass" liv said as she reached over and grabbed an oreo.

Mary jerked up " dont touch my oreos you whore"

Liv grinned as she popped one in her mouth.

" you calling me the whore, you're the one pregnant" i coughed harshly.

"Girls stop" I said stopping them before an actual fight breaks out.

"Lets just watch the movie until we all fall asleep" i suggested as i picked one of the movies for us to watch.

But it is now.

" I've made my decision" i said turning around and walking over to my desk.

I instantly felt him come from behind me caging me between his arms.

" this isnt some business decison selene, i'll give you your space but dont think for a second that this is over" he said into my ear.

" your coffee sir" Toby said walking into my office.

Nick walked away from me. " You have it, youll probably need it with her mood today" He said before i heard the slam of my office door.

I leant on the desk breathing out.

" I'll be alright just give me a minute," I said not even looking at toby but I could see him through the reflection of the sinow.

The boy looked like he was going to piss his pants.

" I need you to sign these papers before 10" he placed a small pile of papers on my desk.

He left straight after, Nick's coffee still in hand.

I sat down in my chair. It was only when i looked up that i saw a box wrapped in silver wrapping paper on the table where Nick sat.

I walked over to it.

Happy Birthday William, from Nickolas.

I decided that i wasnt going to a bitch about this and placed it to the side, i would drop it off tonight on my way home.

My phone vibrated in my pocket. Liv had sent me a news article.

Nickolas was seen walking out of Girlfriends office building, with one emotion clear for the world to see. Pissed.

Whatever went down between them in there was not pretty, read to find out what we think could have gone down.

Jesus, they really do act quick.

Nick can be seen storming outside and getting into his car.

Tyres screeching as he left.

He had every right to be pissed, i had just ended things with him. Well tried. He said he would give me space but somehow i knew that it wasnt going to last long.

After finishing my coffee i grabbed my papers and headed out to meet with my creative team.

They all looked at me nervously.

" Before you start reading about it, i dumped him not the other way round" i said bluntly.

" boss lady is a queen" one of my head creators said breaking the cold ice in the room.

I had to break a smile.

One door closes another one opens.

From Nicks last words to me, i knew that he wasnt done with me just yet.

The nail in the coffin wasnt because of his excuse or reason for flirting with that dancer. It was because he couldnt live up to his promise.

A bottle of whiskey wasnt going to make up for the fact he broke a promise he made to me and my dad who he knows means the world to me.
