"Dad!"
Abby's face lit up when she saw Wesley, her joyful greeting warming his heart.
Wesley scooped his daughter into his arms and spotted Brittany across the room.
"Brittany, can your son please stop chasing after my daughter?"
They're so young, yet he's already thinking about running away with her!
Brittany sighed, "Do you really think she listens to me?"
Daniel looked up innocently, "Mr. Tueley, don't you like me?"
Wesley shook his head, "It's not that."
"Then why can't Abby and I be together?"
Wesley was at a loss for words.
Was this really about whether or not he liked the kid?
"My daughter is only six, not even seven yet!"
"I am too."
Daniel puffed out his chest, "But I've already thought it through."
Wesley frowned, "I'm worried Abby hasn't thought it through."
"Dad, I have thought it through," Abby suddenly said. "I really like Daniel, and I want to be with him forever."
Wesley's heart sank.
His daughter, planning a life escape!
Daniel smirked triumphantly, "Mr. Tueley, see? Abby's made up her mind. She wants to be with me!"
Wesley's fists clenched, "Brittany, if I end up having to discipline your son, can you hold back Isaac from coming at me?"
"No way."
Isaac emerged from the bathroom, grabbing his phone.
Wesley abruptly hung up the call and tossed the tablet into Daniel's lap, "Stay away from my daughter."
Daniel's face fell, "Mr. Tueley, it's wrong to tear apart true love."
Wesley chuckled dryly, "And disciplining you is wrong?"
He left with Abby in his arms.
Daniel, with a sulky expression, sought out Yuri, "Grandpa, what do I do? Mr. Tueley doesn't like me. He wants to separate me and Abby—"
Yuri patted his head, "Then you just have to be good to Abby. When she's older, you can court her then."
Daniel thought for a moment, "Okay."
Yuri was surprised by Daniel's maturity but was about to speak again.
"I heard from Dad that you didn't like him at first. Why did you accept him later?"
Yuri sighed...
"Truth is, Brittany doesn't want to break it off; she just can't."
"Prince Eltham has his sights set on Brittany. There's no way he'd let her go unless she did something fundamentally wrong—"
"Speaking of which, I have a relative who's a doctor. Apparently, Brittany had some tests done at the hospital, and there were issues."
"What kind of issues?"
"The royal announcement said three months, but Brittany was already two and a half months along, nearly three... and during that time, she and Caspian were really close."
"Wow—"
"You mean the baby might not be Prince Eltham's?"
"That can't be. Would Prince Eltham tolerate such an insult?"
"Who knows?"
Brittany slipped away quietly.
Unseen, Hestia was hiding in one of the stalls.
So, the baby Brittany was carrying wasn't Eltham's?
Did Eltham know about this?
After everyone left the restroom, Hestia washed her hands and looked up to find Saskia standing nearby.
"And you are?"
