The day of the wedding finally came, Gabriel woke up really early because he was nervous about the wedding. He never imagined that he would be getting married after Ashley broke up with him. All of this was only meant to give an impression that there was someone in his life now things were mixed up and complicated.

He hadn't seen Nicole for the past three days. She was being serious when she told him he wouldn't be seeing her until the day of their wedding. They only talked on the phone since she now did everything in her bedroom.

He had missed seeing those beautiful eyes and lovely smile, he only heard the sound of her laughter when they talked over the phone. He missed seeing her beautiful face and most of all those legs of hers that turned him on. He couldn't help but think about what she must be doing right now, was she already awake like he was? He decided to give her a call.

Nicole was already awake but remained in bed wondering what today would be like. Getting married wasn't part of the contract, it's not like she had a problem with it, infact she was ready to do anything to help Gabriel and also make his parents happy but what if something goes wrong?

What if Gabriel suddenly changes his mind and cancels the wedding? She thought to herself. Even though this wasn't a real relationship and no wedding was planned from the beginning, it would break her heart if Gabriel suddenly calls off the wedding, it would cause a severe damage to her just like it would to any other real bride.

Why was she being so negative all of a sudden? She wondered. Gabriel never gave her any reason to think that he wouldn't go through with the wedding, besides, he never said anything when his mom started making the arrangements nor did he sound reluctant about the wedding even until yesterday when they spoke on the phone.

Nicole was still deep in thoughts when her phone rang bringing her back to earth, it was Gabriel who was calling, she smiled on seeing his name on the caller ID and picked the call

"Goodmorning" she greeted

"Did I wake you up?" He asked with concern

Nicole's nervousness suddenly kicked in the moment she heard his voice

"No no, you didn't...how was your night?"

"I couldn't sleep. What about you?"

"Same... Gabriel?"

"Huh?" He replied

"Are we really getting married?" She asked in a small voice

Nicole's question made Gabriel guilty. She had a life before he came and messed it up for her. He should never had gone ahead with his stupid plan

"Gabriel, are you there?" Nicole nervously asked bringing Gabriel out of his own little world

"Yeah" he quietly replied

"Nicole, I promise to come up with something after the wedding" He said hoping it would make her feel better

"Okay" she replied but Gabriel noticed that there was sadness in her voice

"You know? I never imagined that we'd come this far" Nicole said, her voice was already shaking because she was hurt by Gabriel's statement. He still didn't see her as something more than a friend, he still saw her as an employee

"Me too... Are you okay?" He asked sounding worried

"Yeah. I'm just nervous so I'm having ice cream" she lied not wanting him to realize that she was already in tears. Just then Helen walked into the room

"Don't pay any attention to me, they're just tears of joy... You look beautiful" she said to Nicole placing a kiss on her forehead

"Thank you" Nicole replied with a shy smile.

Helen took her phone and typed something to an unfamiliar number

"Gabriel got a surprise for you" Helen said causing Nicole to look at her confused

"You can come in now" she called to no one in particular making Nicole wonder who it was she was talking to.

Her bedroom door opened revealing Rick and Vanessa to her utmost surprise. They both came in and engulfed her in a bear hug and congratulated her. Nicole was still in shock, she wondered how Gabriel was able to get them, let alone, how he found out they were her friends, what could he have said to them? And why was he doing this for a relationship that was only based on a contract?

"You know, you could've told us about your hunk of a fiancee earlier" Vanessa teased with a bright smile

"Now I didn't get enough time to pick a nice dress for the occasion" she continued, frowning at the red lace-up midi dress she was wearing

"You can pick something from my closet" Nicole said pointing at the direction of her closet

"Are you for real?!" Vanessa squealed in excitement. Nicole nodded in reply and she immediately ran into Nicole's closet

"Oh my gosh Nicole! This is like paradise itself" Vanessa said from the closet making them all laugh.
