The Biker’s Mafia Princess novel Chapter 191

Sophie POV.

I managed to get hold of the club. I didn’t speak to Harry because he, his dads, his mom, and a few of his brothers had ridden out to get me at my old house.

So guess where I’m headed? Yup, to my old house. I’m not far from there, so I must have been knocked out longer than I thought.

I take the next exit and drive on in to the town where I grew up. Well existed for all that’s worth.

My dad and his goons haven’t stopped me yet. And I can’t see them. So I know they are most certainly lurking somewhere and I can’t let my guard down, not even for a second. The streets that once were so familiar to me now hold nothing but bad memories.

Everything has changed in some way, but still remains the same in other ways. The memories, the nightmares, start to come back to me as I make the next turn into my street.

I slow the van down round the corner past the house. I exit the van and run. The gun is in the waistband of my shorts and the driver’s phone is in my hand. I run to the park and find my tree. I smile as I see it. Still standing strong. I grip the low-hanging branch and pull myself up and climb up to hide amongst the leaves and branches.

Now I wait.

It has been a couple of hours and I’m so uncomfortable sitting here. But I know I have to wait. Worst possible time to also need the bathroom. But I will hold it as long as I can.

I keep looking at the house and hear the squeal of tyres as four big black SUVs pull up outside the house and I see my dad climb out and he is arguing with a big man. That must be Liam Whitlock.

He is a big fucker, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall, right? I watch through the leaves on the branch as they argue back and forth. I move closer to get a better view when my foot slips and I scream as I fall. Hitting most of the branches as I land on my back. The air leaving my lungs with a whoosh.

I can’t breathe as I try to pull in as much air as I can. Everything fucking hurts. I groan and roll to my stomach and see two black boots by my head. Oh shit.

“Gotcha!” I’m dragged up by my arm and try to reach for the gun. But I can’t feel it. I look around frantically and the gun is hanging on a branch. Fuck my life!

“Listen, whatever this is, we can talk it out.” I say to him and he just looks at me and smirks as that smirk grows sinister.

“Should have thought about that before you killed my brother, little girl. But no matter, you and I are going to get to know each other. You think what your dad and brother did to was bad? Sweetheart, you don’t know what pain is.” He says with a chuckle and I shiver as he pulls me with him. I dig my feet into the grass and pull on his hold of me. I scream for help, and no one even bats an eye. Fuck this.

I stop moving, and he turns to look at me. When I move my free arm back and swing it, clocking him on the side of his face. He wasn’t expecting that. He releases me to steady himself, but I don’t wait.

I attack him. Landing each blow with precision and strength. I’m grabbed by my hair and I scream as I’m pulled back.

“Hey baby, don’t move. You need to rest.” He says and I look at him and the tears burst free as I sob. I thought they were going to kill me.

I thought I would never see Harry again. But he came for me, he came for me when he knew I was in danger. I have never had someone come for me before to save me. All the times I cried for someone to take me away from the monsters who were once my family and no one ever did.

People turned a blind eye to my suffering and pretended they didn’t see it happening. Not once did anyone intervene to get me out. A child scared and alone.

I had to learn to survive, that there was no knight on a white horse to save the damsel. No. That damsel had to fight her way out and rely on no one but herself. I fought tooth and nail to get away, and each time they found me. But no knight, no saviour, just me and my monsters.

That was until a badass on a motorbike rolled into my life. My viking god, Harry Wild Child Fanucci-Steele.

“It’s ok, baby. You’re safe. They can’t hurt you again.” He tells me and all I want to do I crawl on to his lap but I can’t move, I’m sore everywhere.

“I will always come for you Sophie, my Slugger. I love you.” He kisses my head and I sob more.

“I love you too Harry.” I say before I close my eyes again and sleep, knowing he is here. The man I love came for me. He is my knight. He saved the princess from the monsters and I love him for it.
