The Bad Boy Next Room (Charlie and Taylor) novel Chapter 32

“By the way, Charlie, although you are with Taylor, I just want to clarify that I saw you first.” Atlas shot Taylor disapprovingly, saying, “Taylor only stole you from me.”

The guys laughed, including Atlas’ sister. Angel said, “I don’t know, Atlas. Taylor has never been this protective of a girl. I think they are meant to be.”

When Charlie heard that, her face reddened; she could feel the heat rising to her ears. She thought, ‘Gosh, if only they know we are just pretending.’

“Actually,” Taylor removed his arm around Charlie. He leaned forward and said, “Charlie lives with me. We already met before you saw her on stage during the recognition.”

“What?” Atlas reacted. “I thought you were just trying to piss Luke off, so you live in the same house?”

“Yup!” Taylor said.

Atlas: “So all that crap about telling me how Charlie was not my type was just -”

“Yep,” Taylor reconfirmed.

Atlas: “And you saying that she was just -”

“Yes! Yes!” Taylor, yet again, draped his arm around Charlie, saying, “Because Charlie Rae King is my girl.”

“How did this happen, man? You were single for one minute and in a relationship the next?” Jeremy asked.

“Remember how I placed an ad for a roommate? Charlie answered the ad, and let’s just say we hit it off,” Taylor said.

“Wow, I should visit you more often, Taylor,” Atlas remarked.

“If you visit me to see my girlfriend, forget it!” Taylor snapped. “I won’t let you in!”

“Charlie, if Taylor ever breaks your heart -” Atlas suggested, but his words were cut off because Taylor got up from the chair.

“Not happening,” Taylor said to the guys. “We are leaving. Goodnight.”

“Bye, Guys. It’s nice to meet you,” Charlie said, waving her hands at everyone. She was smiling throughout, really amazed at how welcoming Taylor’s friends were.

They were already at the car when Charlie asked, “So, just curious, how many girls have you introduced to them?”

Taylor laughed as he started the car. He said, “Well, there was um - Cha.”

“Cha?” Charlie asked.

“Yeah, and then there was Blondie; I forgot the name of the other one, but she gave me a red thong,” Taylor said.

She cut them individually, saying, “Goodbye, scrunchies!”

“Happy?” she asked Taylor.

Taylor placed a hand on his chest, expressing, “Relieved.”

Then, Charlie returned to her room and showed Taylor a normal, low-cut underwear. She said, “See this?”

Taylor whistled and said, “Now, that’s hot. Normal is hot.”

Charlie, “...”

“The point is.” Charlie stretched the underwear and said, “There is no way you can make a scrunchie out of this!”

“Okay! Okay, I promise not to make fun of your underwear again. Just make sure you don’t leave them lying around,” Taylor said while chuckling.

“Good! Good!” Charlie returned her underwear, and when she came back to the living room, she sat across from Taylor. She said, “Taylor, let’s talk about the kiss.”

Taylor stilled for a moment, but soon, he set his phone aside. He crossed his arms against his chest and said, “Yeah, we should talk about it.”
