Jayne POV
I have not heard from Tatina. I am worried sick. When I try to call her phone it goes to voicemail. I am going to the house to get her. This has to end. It will end today.
I take out my phone and call Craig, he does not answer either. I will text him.
*Hey! I am coming by to see Tatina later*
I wait patiently to hear from him. After five minutes he responds. *No visitors today. Come tomorrow*
This is not good. I call Glenn to try to get his help. No damn answer. Someone has to do something. We have put her in danger.
Glenn finally texts me back. * We are going in tonight to get her. Stay put*
They better get her out of that house before something bad happens. I have a very bad feeling about this.
I cannot take it. I am going to get her with or without the help of the authority. This is on me. I put her in danger. I thought this would be a good thing for her and him. I was so wrong.
I gather my purse and keys. I lock up my house and run down to my car. Glenn is standing by my car.
“Where are you going?” he asks.
“I am going to go get her,” I answer.
“I figured as much. Just give me an hour to gather some people to go in,” he says.
“You have one hour. I will be close by waiting to take her,” I say.
Glenn shakes his head and leaves quickly. I get into my car. I need somewhere to wait for one hour. I will give him one hour to get her.
I drive to a bar and park. That looks like Lila’s car. I grab my phone and my purse and quickly exit the car. I am going to have a few words with this woman.
I go into the bar and look around for her. I finally see her sitting at a table in the back. I walk over to her.
“Can I sit?” I ask. I do not wait for an answer. I sit down.
“Sure. I guess,” she says.
“You know why I am here,” I ask her.
“Yes, you cannot get a hold of your sweet little friend,” she says.
“Yes. I am worried about her,” I say.
“She is fine. Probably planning her wedding,” she says.
“Wedding. What damn wedding?” I ask.
“Craig is marrying her,” she says.
“What? I have been trying to call her. She will not talk to me,” I say.
“Yeah. Well, they are all over one another. I cannot get a word in with him about the business. He is only worried about her and her needs,” Lila says.
“So she is okay,” I ask.
“Yep,” she responds.
I know she is lying. Tatina would not marry him not unless he was forcing her to marry him.
“Listen, Jayne, as much as I would love to sit here and talk to you about your sweet little friend, I am meeting someone. So could you carry on somewhere else?” she demands.
“Sure, sorry to intrude on you. I just wanted to know if she is okay since Craig told me not to come to the house,” I say.
“Well he has company right now,” she slips.
“I did not know,” I answer.
“Oh yes, you did. Admit it you knew. Everything that is happening to her is all your fault. Now do you want my help or not?” he says.
He stands before. He wants me to want his help. He is an arrogant little jerk.
“Glenn cannot help you with this. You know that don’t you? I am the only one that can,” he says.
“If I let you help me then what? What do you want?” I ask.
Draco moves closer putting his arm around me. “I want to leave the house with my prize. I want to be able to bid at auctions again. I want you to let me take you on a date,” he says.
I pull away from him. “I cannot do any of those things. I do not have the authority and you disgust me,” I say.
“Well, my little fairy friend. She will have a horrible life as his sex slave, his breeding machine, and his subservient wife. Is that what you want for her? Did you and Glenn not send her in there to steal my prize?” he says.
He pulls me back close to him. I begin shaking. I brushes my bangs away from my face. He gets close to my lips. “You can do it. Let me have my three little demands and I will bring her to you,” he says.
I shake my head yes. I do not know how in the hell I can get him back on the auction list but I have to for her.
“Seal our deal with a kiss,” he says and leans in to kiss me.
“I am not going to kiss the devil,” I say. I pull away from him.
He grabs me and presses his lips to mine.
“You pig,” I say.
“I may be a pig but this pig is going to save your friend. I will bring her to your house. Give me an hour,” he says.
I shake my head and run out of the bar. I cannot believe I am trusting that demon to help me, but what choice do I have. Draco could kill Craig easily. I don’t care what he does as long as he gets Tatina out of there.
