Jayne POV
Tatina looks amazing. I am so happy to see looking well. She was so lost just a few days ago when she landed at the Vampire Authority auction. It makes my heart smile knowing she is in good hands.
We load her bags up into my car. “The hotel we are staying in is old but newly renovated and very cool. I think you will enjoy it. It was a nice view of the city. We can sit on the balcony and people watch," I tell her.
"Sounds great," Tatina says.
"It is not far. Maybe we will miss the traffic," I tell her.
I plan to take her everywhere since we have a few days to explore. "We can go to the French market, grab amazing food, oh and we can ride the ferry and the streetcar. We can walk over to the garden district to look at houses. There is a lot to do. We can go to a few bars. You have got to have a hurricane," I tell her.
"I have never really drank before," she says.
"Well, I won't tell anyone," I tell her.
We zip into the city. Just us two girls without a care in the world but the amazing fun we are about to have. She deserves to have some fun after the way she has lived her life.
Lila POV
I did not think they would ever leave. I have my driver driving around three hybrids I need to be checked before the auction. I have emails to send. I have to get this show on the road. There is not a lot of time. I have wasted too much trying to get rid of them.
"Mr. Craig, He has the girls and is pulling up," I tell him as I walk into his office.
He looks troubled. I have not seen this look on his face since, well since Julie died.
"What is the matter?" I ask him.
"I don't think we should do this anymore," he says.
Great, the little tramp has gotten to him.
"Really, you're telling me you're going to let a piece of ass get in the way of everything we have built here," I ask him.
"No, it's not that. I am just tired of it. I want out. I will give you the business. I have money I can set you up," he says.
"Really. I do not have the connections you do. If the Vampire Authority finds out we are having unauthorized auctions it is over for both of us. We have to stick together on this," I tell him.
"How do I do that?" he asks.
"Idiot!" I yell at him.
"Ram your hand up in there and check for extra skin. I will do it," I scream at him.
The first woman screams but the other two are silent.
"Look you can behave and let me do my job. After you get food water and a nice quiet afternoon until the auction. Or I can have Eman hold you down and I will do what I need to do anyway, but no food and no water. And I will make damn sure you go to the worst bidder we have," I tell her.
The red-haired freckled face hybrid stops screaming. She acknowledges she will cooperate.
"Good girl," I say to her and give smack on the face.
"Strip them I will be back in twenty minutes to check them. I need to send out emails. Did you take pictures before you put them in the car?" I ask.
"Yes. I sent you everything in the email. Good. I will need new ones after we dress them," I say.
