The Alpha's Unwanted Luna (by Miss L) novel Chapter 475

115 - Elara

I roll over shaking my head. What the hell was that? Blue fizzles in the air around me. I look around, spitting dirt out of my mouth. I can’t see anyone. Ben, Jax, Dev or Eliza. Where the hell is everyone?

I stand up, noticing how sore I am. I didn’t think we fought that hard, but I am clearly mistaken. I continue to scan the area while checking myself for injuries. I’m still near the Rift, but it looks different. The light has changed around me. Copyright ©️ 2025 Miss L Writes and Ember Mantel Productions.

“What did you do?!” Her voice is an octave higher. I look for the woman who is trying to destroy my pack.

I find her on the other side of the Rift. I can see her warbly face through the shield that is protecting the magic in the ravine. I’m not sure how, but I am separated from her and that bolsters my confidence. “Hell if I know. You’re the expert here. I just learned magic likes me a few hours ago. We have been here only a few hours, right?”

“What did you do?” She repeats. She sounds more feral the longer we are here.

“You tell me. What was that?”

“What did you see?” She shouts at me, but the sound is uncertain for the first time.

I see more lights flash. Similar to what I saw in the memory Eliza gave me. She’s trying to hit me through this barrier. I’m sure at some point I will have to fight her, but I need to know what my mom meant by I am a descendant of a coven and wolf pack. I’ve been ‘of age’ for a while now. Why didn’t this come out before my parents had to die? I need to have a long talk with whatever ancestors made the rules for passing on information, cause this is all bullsh*t. The ground warms under my feet. Perfect, the Rift agrees with that sentiment.

“Alright Rift, I would love to take the time to learn magic the right way and understand all the nuances that come with being able to cast, but I have to live through today in order to do that, so is there a crash course you can give me?”

I feel warmth in my feet again. It ripples up my legs until I can feel it at the back of my skull. I see visions of Brianna and Marietta. I watch movements and see intentions. There are no silly words or incantations to remember. Nothing like what I read in books or see on TV. I start to move my hands the way I see and I can feel the vibrations through my feet. Magic is flowing through me. I feel the relic in my pocket warm. I can’t believe it’s still there after everything that’s happened since I found it in my dad’s office. Gotta have the magic thing in my pocket, got it.
