The Alphas' Mate novel Chapter 17

The noise coming from the outside of our room woke me up and it seemed like everybody is shouting. My eyes adjusted to the light and there I saw my mate fast asleep.

He's so beautiful.

''Good Morning to you too, my love. You know It's weird to stare people while they are sleeping.'' he says while his eyes are still closed and he smirks.

Dammit.

He laughs, so I pulled the covers up and to hide the redness of my face.

''Oh come on, you look beautiful when you're blushing'' he teases.

''Sheez!" I push my body out if bed and run towards the bathroom.

''Love, isn't it that Cherry's birthday is-'' Zachary say.

Oww. That explain all the shouting I hear a while ago. I brush my teeth and did my thing before rushing towards him.

"Let's go." I mumble and pulled him out.

"Love, please calm down.''

When the both of us reached the the first floor I saw that everything is now set and foods are now placed on the table. Decorations too are well displayed.

''Good Morning Alpha Zachary, Luna Chloe. By the way, if you didn't notice that the size of this mansion is unthinkable big and the part that it was so hard to clean and so, we really are doing are very best to make this party successful.'' Harry said proudly. I saw Cherry helping with the arrangement and occasionally she was smiling.

''And by the way Luna Chloe, Cherry didn't know that this is her birthday party.'' James added and the both of them give themselves a high five.

''You've done a very good job, gentlemen. I'm amaze." I say and the both of them smirks.

The both of them nod in response and excuse their selves and they have some matters to attend. Zachary looks quite and has a blank expression and I don't know why he's so hard to read.

"You really are so unbelievable!" Janice then came while holding the box "Wear this one, open it when you reach home. See you later, I'll wait for you!" she's just staring at me not knowing what to say.

"Go!" I say and push her outside.

"Thank you Luna," I then wave her goodbye.

I watch her walk towards the opposite direction and her back looks like she's carrying a lot of burden and sadness.

''Love, are you okay? Looks like you were dreaming of me.'' I snap where Zachary is and stare at him.

''Go, drink some water'' I mumble and tap his shoulder before walking away.

''Really?'' he shouted making me laugh.
