Chapter 50
Today, I raise my hand to ride The Beast. I may have to attend the sex class, but I don’t have to participate which means that I HAVE to be first to complete The Beast. I have no idea how far the others may have gotten yesterday but I didn’t hear that anyone has completed it yet.
“Sebastiana. Which instructor do you want to compete against?” Dane asks.
I don’t look at my uncle or my brother. I skim over Alpha Ezra, almost as angry with him as I am with my family members. I look at Alpha Jackson, angry that he denied me withdrawing from the sex class.
“Alpha Benjamin,” I say.
Alpha Benjamin raises an eyebrow, then smiles. “I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to choose me.”
“Today’s your lucky day,” I say, not feeling great about choosing Alpha Benjamin. He’s the oldest Alpha here. I would rather go against one of the younger ones, but not when I can feel my wolf still pulsing with anger. I need to focus, not get distracted by my emotions.

As soon as I leap on the first ring, it drops and I begin bouncing in the air, making it harder for me to reach the next ring. I have to use my body’s momentum, swinging myself to reach the next ring. As soon as I grab it, it begins doing the same thing, only this time it begins bouncing from side to side, not just up and down.
I can feel myself getting tired, having not really eaten in the last couple of days, but I push through. I have to get these points if I’m going to stay at the Academy and try to make the leaderboard.
I make it across, then look at level eight. It’s just a walkway that looks like a balance beam. It’s too easy, so I slowly begin stepping across the walk. I hear a click and a whir and I look up just in

time to see a knife whizzing toward my leg. I move quickly, barely maintaining my balance as the knife knicks my leg.
