Chapter 24
“Interesting,” she murmurs, then begins gently rubbing my back. It’s still a bit bruised, but overall, T’s hands feel fantastic. Since she’s already familiar with my body, she easily finds that areas where I hold my stress and works to get the knots out.
Eventually, I hear Luna Samantha speaking, but I’m no longer paying attention, enjoying the feel of T’s hands as they massage down my legs to my feet and then back up again.
“Wake up, Shane,” T says quietly in my car.
“Mmmm?” I say, lifting my head and looking around.
“You fell asleep,” she says, grinning at me. “Why don’t you sit up, and I’ll go get you some water.”
I frown. When did I fall asleep? I sit up and shift my shoulders. I feel great.
I see that some of the others in the class never fell asleep, talking loudly like they’ve been awake the entire time, but there are some, like me, who look like they were resting deeply or sound asleep.
“How do you feel?” Tiana asks, walking over with some water.
“Great. That was fantastic. This might be my favorite class,” I say, smiling as I drink some water.
She laughs. “I can’t wait for my turn.
”
“Tomorrow, beautiful. If you wait for me to change, we can walk back to the dorms together.”
“No problem.”
When we walk back, Cassandra and Cole fall into step with us.
“Did you fall asleep too?” I ask Cole.
“Not quite, but close,” he says. “I’m ready for bed now.”
“Me too.”
”
When we get to the dorms, I walk Tiana to her room and kiss her goodnight.
“I may be late to breakfast tomorrow. Jackson told me if I get clearance in the morning, I could

attend sparring class. I can’t wait to ride The Beast again,” she says, making me grin.
“You’re a glutton for punishment, aren’t you?”
“I want those points. Now that I know how to defeat level four, I need to move forward. I expect you’ll make it to level five tomorrow as well.”
“Hopefully, I’ll make it farther than that. I have some stiff competition. Get some sleep and get rested. If we’re both in good shape tomorrow night, maybe we can spend the night together,” I say.
“I’d like that. I miss you.”
I smile and lean down to kiss her again, taking my time and gently pressing her against the wall. “I miss you too,” I growl softly.
I drag myself away from her and walk back to my room. Maybe because we all had great massages tonight, but it’s quiet in my hall. I climb into bed and pull one of my books over to study, but rather than getting any studying done, I end up falling fast asleep.
Dane POV
“Early thoughts about how to break our new batch of Alphas?” I ask the group. As the leader of the instructors, I like to start the conversations early and see what insights the instructors have on each of our new students so that hell week is easier on us and harder on our young Alphas.
“Beat the shit out of Nicholas and make him cry in front of his peers,” Ryan says, looking bored. Since he’s family, I know him well enough to know that Nicholas‘ comments about Sebi have gotten under his skin. I was surprised when he stopped Shane from beating Nicholas to a pulp yesterday, but I’m glad he did.
“Nicholas is easy. What are we going to do about your sister and niece?” Benjamin asks.
