In her fury, Thea halted the sword just an inch from Hetsema’s throat.

Zella, hovering in the void, watched anxiously.

After a moment of silence, Thea turned her head to look at James. He wasn't stopping her, making her wonder if he cared for his son's life at all.

James slowly walked through the void. "If you've already calmed down, then withdraw your weapon. If not, you can kill them all."

Hearing his words, Zella was in disbelief.

Thea, however, snorted and withdrew the Taishi Sword, turning away with a face full of anger.

Ignoring her, James raised his hand, and his path source flashed. The two Hetsemas quickly merged into one, violently struggling within the amethyst-gold net.

"You rebellious son," James stared at him intently.

Hetsema snarled with anger. "Rebellious son? When have you ever considered me your son? You've only ever cared about Jacopo, Winnie, Noel, and even Xainte, who doesn't carry your surname. But me? No matter what I did, it was always wrong in your eyes. You've never given me fatherly love. How dare you lecture me as a father now?"

James thought to himself, ‘Have I never given him any love? Among my children, I believe I treated Hetsema the best. When I noticed Hetsema’s peculiarities, I sought out the Martial Emperor as his mentor. When migrating the beings of the Dark Realm, Hetsema accompanied his siblings to the Genesis Worlds and was never discriminated against.

Thea and Zella watched in shock, unable to believe what they had just seen.

James had not killed Hetsema. Instead, he had erased all of Hetsema’s past memories with his Supernatural Powers. Hetsema became the first experiment in the River of Time to have his entire past wiped away.

While everyone held cherished memories, Hetsema’s past was filled with despicable actions, wild ambitions, greed, and selfishness. Perhaps it was the best resolution for him.

Snapping out of shock, Thea suddenly asked, "You can erase his past, but he eliminated our daughter Xainte’s past. What about her?"

James did not respond immediately. Instead, he waved his hand, retrieving all the familiar figures trapped in the distance, including Xainte’s past form that had been killed.
