James was shrouded in black mist and entered a mysterious world that lacked the rules of heaven and earth. Paths were also non-existent.

The light spots gathered to form into a spectral figure of a man.

Although James could only see the rough outline of the man’s facial features, it was evident the man was relatively young.

“Is this the successor that old man found for me?”

The spectral figure stared at James, and a subtle red flow emerged from his eyes.

James felt like he had been stripped naked and had no secrets in front of the mysterious man.

The man said calmly, “You’re from the Dark World. Not bad.”

James quickly clasped his hands and said, “I’m James Caden. It’s an honor to meet you, Sir Franciscus.”

It was evident the spectral figure before him was a trace of Soul Power that Franciscus had left behind.

The spectral figure gradually became opaque and turned into a man dressed in a white robe.

The man looked relatively young. At most, he was only in his twenties.

Suddenly, a beautiful landscape with mountains and streams appeared in the mysterious world.

Franciscus sat down on a rock by a stream. He pointed to another stone and said, “Sit.”

James listened carefully.

Franciscus continued, saying, “Although Thea is kind-hearted, she is still a consciousness born from the Dark Heavenly Path. Once she reaches a certain height in her cultivation rank, she will be affected by the power of the Dark Heavenly Path. Eventually, she will return to the darkness.”

“Do you mean to say that Thea’s reincarnated self will become corrupted?” James asked with a frown.

Franciscus said solemnly, “If only it were that simple. You guys have been in the Dark World for so long but have not been affected by the dark aura. It’s because I had sealed away the Dark World’s evil power. Once it is released, the consequences will be grim.

“As Thea’s reincarnation grows stronger, she can sense the evil power sealed away in the Dark World. When the time comes, she’ll return to the darkness and take complete control over Dark Power. If that happens, nobody will stand a chance against her. Ultimately, she will destroy everything.”

“Aren’t you exaggerating a little?” James doubted Franciscus’ words, not believing that Thea could do such evil.
