Only one person chose to stay behind-Quincy

Quincy and James walked side by side in the Imperial Palace’s backyard.

James sighed deeply and said, “Thank you, Quincy. You’ve been working really hard and doing a lot for Wrymstead.”

Quincy smiled and said, “What I’ve done is nothing compared to you. I don’t have a talent for cultivation and might never become a powerhouse. I’m only doing my best to support you in helping all humanity get through this tumultuous time.”

James was relieved to hear Quincy’s virtuous conviction.

“Please be careful while running Wrymstead. No matter what happens, your survival is of the utmost importance. Do you hear me?”

The two had a simple conversation.

After giving Quincy a couple of reminders, James left Wrymstead.

He headed to Mount Tai, traveled to the bottom of the mountain ravine, and arrived at the first floor of the Chamber of Scripture.

“Ms Custodian!”

James stepped into the empty first floor and shouted. His voice rang through the chamber and echoed back at him.

A white light glimmered in front of him.

It slowly dissipated, and a woman in a white dress appeared. She looked at James, and a smile appeared on her beautiful face. She praised James, “I know everything you’ve done up to now, James. You did an excellent job.”

James smiled wryly and said, “Now that I’ve obtained the first providence, the matter about the second providence has spread throughout the Three Thousand Worlds. Some formidable people will surely come after my life after hearing the news. I came to see Thea. After I see her, I’ll have to escape as far as I can.”

James sighed in relief.

The custodian looked at James and asked, “Did you come just to see Thea?”

James replied, “Yeah. Some powerhouses are targeting me right now. I’ve already made arrangements for everything. I came to see Thea before I leave. I might return when I can finally kill a Sage with my own strength”

The custodian asked, “Where are you going?”

James shook his head.

He had no idea where he was going next.

The custodian suggested, “Maybe you can consider going to the Demon Realm.”

“The Demon Realm?” James’ eyes widened in surprise.
