“Absolutely not—you don't get to touch my boyfriend!”
A fierce voice shattered the tense silence, erupting seemingly out of nowhere, jolting both Sophia and Alex as though lightning had struck.
"Jasmine?" Alex gasped in disbelief, his eyes widening at the unexpected apparition before him.
Without hesitation, Jasmine seized Alex's arm possessively, her emerald eyes blazing dangerously toward Sophia, gleaming with venomous defiance.
"He's my boyfriend, and you absolutely do not have permission to kiss him. If you insist on waiting for my blessing, prepare yourself—it might come, say, in about a hundred years."
Sophia was utterly stunned, paralyzed by Jasmine's sudden and fiery entrance.
"How on earth are you even here?" Alex questioned, clearly shaken by her sudden arrival.
With a pout brimming with indignation and tenderness, Jasmine gently struck his chest—not in anger, but in affectionate reproach.
"You idiot, I was worried sick about you! I heard Owen was causing trouble and rushed here as soon as I could. And what do I find?"
Her voice broke with an anguished sob, crystalline tears pooling in her eyes.
"I find you cozying up with your ex-wife—the woman who never once believed in you!”
“Who abandoned you when you needed her most!”
“Who repeatedly broke your heart."
Her words lashed out like whips, each carefully aimed at Sophia’s pride, slicing into the fragile connection she had been painstakingly trying to rebuild with Alex.
"She doesn't deserve you, Alex. You're meant for something far better.”
“Someone who treasures every piece of you, who would die rather than see you hurt again," Jasmine sobbed passionately, throwing herself into Alex's chest, her slender frame trembling against him.
Sophia felt each word like a dagger twisting mercilessly in her chest, widening the chasm that she had worked so desperately to mend.
The kiss she had nearly stolen would have sealed the reconciliation, but Jasmine had shattered that dream with her fierce claim.
Realizing the futility of remaining, Sophia bit her lip, choking down bitterness.
"Alex, I'll go ahead," she murmured quietly, offering one final, poignant look before turning away.
She could swear that as she turned, Jasmine cast a sly, mocking smile in her direction—a silent declaration of victory.
"This isn't over," Sophia whispered defiantly to herself, striding toward her car, determined and unbroken.
Meanwhile, Jasmine remained nestled comfortably in Alex's embrace.
"Can you let go of me now?" Alex gently urged.
"No," Jasmine responded playfully, tightening her grip with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.
"It feels too good to leave your arms just yet."
"Jasmine," Alex protested softly.
"Kiss me first," Jasmine demanded, her voice sultry and tempting as she tilted her flawless face upward, captivating Alex completely.
Alex's heart raced fiercely as he gazed down at her delicate beauty.
Jasmine wasn't just attractive—she was breathtaking, a masterpiece sculpted meticulously by divine hands, a beauty so radiant and perfect that entire kingdoms could go to war for her smile alone.
At this moment, Jasmine's eyes were luminous with an earnest and sacred devotion, reflecting her unwavering love, a love capable of sacrifices beyond measure.
If Alex were to ask, Jasmine would willingly plunge a dagger into her heart just to prove her fidelity, murmuring, "If it brings you joy, my love, I’d do it gladly."
‘How could any man resist loving such a woman?’
Alex pondered helplessly, drawn irresistibly closer to her.
"Kiss me," Jasmine whispered seductively, her voice melting any remnants of his resistance.
Just as Alex began to lean in, lost in the intoxicating promise of her embrace, Josephine's startled voice rang sharply through the air.
"What exactly is going on here?"
"Josephine!" Alex jolted upright, his senses swiftly returning, caught between shock and embarrassment.
