"Why isn't Wilson here yet? Are you sure he's coming, Jacob?" Sean's patience had worn thin from waiting for Wilson.
Jacob's eyes darkened. Clearly, he no longer had the patience to keep waiting wither. "Let's go," he said.
That was when a black Maybach rolled to a stop in front of them. Wilson came out of the car, looking aloof and elegant. Then, he greeted the Murray brothers one by one.
"Hello, Jacob, Ian, and Sean."
Ian wore a completely cold expression. He was a stern and rigorous man, and nothing disgusted him more than someone who was late.
Ian snorted coldly in response. "You're very late. You know what? Maybe you shouldn't have shown up at all!"
"Exactly. It would've worked out well, too. We don't need you. We can handle Yvie's surprise birthday celebration on our own!" Sean immediately agreed with Ian.
"I'm sorry." Wilson might've apologized, but he wasn't remorseful in the least. Instead, he said slowly, "Yvie is just so clingy. I had to put her to sleep before I could even leave."
His gloating tone was unmistakable. Jacob and the others instantly clenched their fists and gnashed their teeth.
"We should just put a burlap sack over his head and beat him up, Jacob!" Sean said angrily. Not only did Wilson take Yvette away from them, but he was actually boasting about it. It was absolutely infuriating.
Ian's expression was cold as he nodded and replied, "Seconded."
"He's going to tell on us to Yvie." Jacob raised his gaze and swept his eyes over them. "Are you two prepared to make her mad?"
Wilson had built such a majestic manor, and not one of the Murray brothers had gotten wind of it until this very moment. Clearly, Wilson had gone to great lengths to ensure its secrecy.
Wilson cast a leisurely gaze over the manor. Something must've popped into his mind because his expression suddenly softened, and his lazy tone was laced with joy.
"I've been thinking about doing something like this ever since I met Yvie for the first time."
"Fuck this, you animal!" Jacob and the others cursed at the same time. Wilson had planned to lay his grubby paws on Yvette the first time they met.
Wilson brushed off their response, and his lips curled into an indifferent and lazy grin. He would gladly admit to being an animal if it meant he could spend time with Yvette here.
"We're going to celebrate Yvie's birthday here. What do you all think?"
