Seeing their intimate exchange, Jordan was immediately struck dumb, his words stumbling out in shock.
"A-Are you Ms. Murray's—"
Wilson cut Jordan off, blurting, "Fiancé."
Wilson's mesmerizing eyes, tinged with a hint of danger, made it clear that he wasn't someone to be trifled with. His voice was cold and cutting.
"If you get it wrong again, you might as well get rid of your eyes."
"What?" Jordan was even more stunned now, his voice faltering as he repeated, "You're her fiancé?"
Yvette already had a fiancé at such a young age? And Wilson looked much older than her...
"What's wrong? Do you have a problem with that?" Wilson's sharp gaze swept over Jordan, his presence overwhelming and chilling, causing Jordan to flinch.
"No! Absolutely not." Jordan quickly retracted, shaking his head fervently. "You and Ms. Murray are truly a perfect match—a pair made in Heaven!"
This was Jordan's honest opinion. Despite the age difference, they did seem well-matched. After all, they both exuded a powerful air that could dominate any room. No one else could come close to them.
Hearing this, Wilson's gaze softened slightly, and the pressure in the air lifted just a little.
Jordan let out a sigh of relief, knowing he had said the right thing. But just then, he suddenly froze, his pupils constricting. He thought, "Wait a minute, this man's voice sounds so familiar. It's as if I've heard it somewhere before…"
"Are you not leaving yet?"
Wilson's impatient tone snapped Jordan out of his thoughts, and in that moment, Jordan suddenly remembered where he had heard the voice. He had heard it at the Unison Nations assembly.
His voice was identical to that of Shadow Alliance's boss! Yovara was a small country under Yenosha's governance—a nation in which Jordan served. Everyone knew Yenosha was the domain of Shadow Alliance.
Jordan had been so focused on correcting his mistake earlier that he hadn't made the connection.
"Right. You're absolutely right! I was just about to take the other car!" Jordan scratched his nose, embarrassed, and climbed into another vehicle.
"How childish."
Yvette shot a sideways glance at Wilson, her eyes filled with amusement.
"His eyesight is terrible."
Thinking back to Jordan's earlier missteps, Wilson narrowed his eyes slightly, a dangerous glint flashing from within.
He hadn't even gotten back at Jordan for those mistakes yet. That was already a generous act on Wilson's part.
"Baby, do you think I look that old?"
