"You guys still haven't given up hope? The time has come for the competition to commence, yet Yvette is nowhere to be seen. She has lost her privilege to be a part of it. Get ready, Jubilife University, because I'm going to squash you like bugs." Estelle cackled hysterically.
Before she was done laughing, however, a cold and feminine voice rose in the air.
"Who says that I can't be a part of the competition?" Yvette kicked open the door to the lounge and strolled over.
"You're back, Yvie!" The faces of Jubilife University students immediately lit up.
"We knew you'd be here, Yvie!"
Yvette flashed them a smile that comforted them to no end. "I'm back."
The smile on Jubilife University students' faces deepened. Seeing Yvette in front of them helped them rediscover their confidence. Her presence alone inexplicably soothed them.
Estelle's face instantly darkened when she saw the morale of Jubilife University students boosted. She cast a sinister glance at Yvette and snorted coldly.
"So what if you're here? The competition has commenced, and you didn't arrive on time. That counts as a violation of the rules. You've lost your right to participate!"
At the next moment, the Jubilife University students immediately grew disheartened. All of them were nervous for Yvette.
However, she remained as leisurely and carefree as ever. There weren't any signs of panic on her delicate face. Then, she spoke calmly, "The International Medical Congress dictates that the competition only officially commences at the strike of the bell."
Estelle's expression immediately darkened, and a hint of shock flashed in her eyes. How was Yvette this familiar with the competition rules? She planned to use this excuse to kick Yvette out of the competition, but it didn't seem like it would work anymore.
Yvette raised her delicate eyes and stared at Estelle, seeing through the latter's petty tricks. Her voice was laced with coldness and mockery. "Shut up if you're this ignorant. Otherwise, you'll drag everyone's intelligence down with your stupidity."
"You don't say. They're so lovely that I'm jealous. That aside, when did Mr. Quinn arrive here?"
"It's just a man being over-enthusiastic, fawning over Yvette. What's there to be jealous about? Men would queue from here to Amurria just to win my…"
Estelle wore a disdainful expression when she spoke, but a hint of mesmerization flashed in her eyes when she got a good look at Wilson's face. She trailed off at the end of her sentence, distracted by his handsome face.
However, she saw how intimate Wilson was with Yvette, and she immediately got so jealous that she gritted her teeth.
How was it that another handsome and extraordinarily elegant man appeared next to that bitch yet again? What right did Yvette have? She didn't deserve to be with him.
Noble and charming men like Wilson should've belonged to Estelle.
