Talented Hairess A Rose with Thorns (Yvette and Wilson) novel Chapter 804

Yvette didn't waste her time while she was at Yenosha. She dove into her research and studied the drug in her lab.

DY Organization had caused harm to countless infants and children. For the past few years, there were probably a lot of failed experiments like Evelynn's.

Yvette had to study the components of the drug and determine what they were. Only then could she save Evelynn and the other kids who were considered failed experiments.

Five hours had passed by the time Yvette left the lab. Skyla had been waiting for Yvette outside the whole time, and she immediately stepped forward. Her voice was laced with concern when she spoke.

"You're finally out, Yvie. You don't look too good. You can't stay in the lab for this long anymore."

Apollo, who stood to the side, immediately nodded and went along with Skyla. "Yeah. You have to get some rest, Ms. Murray. Don't overwork yourself."

All of them would've lived their last days on earth if Wilson ever found out that Yvette had worked such long hours.

Yvette felt a warmth in her chest when she heard the concern in their voices. She smiled and nodded. "Got it. I'm fine, so don't worry."

"Nuh-uh. You're going to get some rest now, sweetheart!" Skyla affectionately wrapped her arm around Yvette's before she dragged the latter to the living room.

Yvette's lips curled into a grin as she allowed herself to be taken away.

"I want to be close to you, sweetheart!"

Yvette had just sat on the couch when Skyla leaned close and hugged her like it was the most natural thing to do. She was used to how intimate Skyla was with her. So, she raised her hand and rubbed the top of her head.

Skyla instinctively rubbed against Yvette's palm with a bright smile on her face. "Hehe. I love you so much, sweetheart."

Wilson saw this the moment he came back. He was so mad that the veins on his forehead popped, and his face looked as dark as charcoal. He gritted his teeth and snarled, "Have Wayne Granger take his daughter back home this instant!"

"Sweet—Ahem, Yvie. I'm going home for now, but I'll see you tomorrow." Underneath Wilson's blood-chilling gaze, Skyla had no choice but to stop herself from calling Yvette "sweetheart".

Skyla hurriedly left as if there was some kind of monster chasing her. Yvette's lips curled into a helpless grin. "Why are you so easily jealous?"

Wilson narrowed his eyes and emanated a dangerous air. "Don't you think I should be jealous in this case?"

He had been working his butt off for the past few days. Wilson wanted to finish every task on his hands and come home to keep Yvette company.

Although she had been busy too, Yvette had ladies clinging to her arms, and she hadn't seemed to miss him—not even a little.

"You even let her call you 'sweetheart.'"
